What a beautiful and peaceful place! We enjoyed every minute of our 3-day stay and were sorry to leave Maison Suzanne. The place is in easy walking distance to the old city yet located away from all the noise and hectic mass tourism within its walls. Our very spacious and comfortable room looked out on a eucalyptus grove and the...

My father and I stopped here for two nights on our way to Shangri-La. Despite the fact that I screwed up our booking I found the hist here to be exceedingly accommodating. He helped us plan out the rest of our time in Dali, booked transport to Lijiang, gave heaps of great recommendations and insider tips. The food was great-...

The house corresponds pretty well to the description made by the owner. We particularly appreciated the relax and easy going atmosphere and the very pleasant common room. Daniel gave us plenty of useful advices for visiting and Fei made us a delicious breakfast with home made bread and an excellent fresh fruit yoghourt mix. Both did not hesitate to prepare...

Maison Suzanne is owned by a friendly French-Chinese couple with excellent English. The rooms are large and well-decorated. Good toiletries are included. The maison is located a little up the hill from the old town and is at the upper end of the Dali accommodation market. The difference is worth the extra cost if you are not on a tight...

We are a mixed couple (Chinese and American) LOCATION Let me dispel a myth. It is NOT 5 minutes from the South Gate or " right outside the South Gate. It is at least a 10- 15 minute walk depending on how fast you walk. Unless you jog it you will NOT get in 5 minutes. Also, save your energy....

I spent five nights here in April with my family, and we occupied two rooms. Dani and Xiao Fei are so kind, warm and welcoming that you feel at home in their home immediately. My 8 and 11 year old kids played with their little kids and were very happy. The house is just outside the south gate of Old...

We strongly recommend Suzanne BnB. We had a very difficult journey to Dali. Our plane was delayed and terminated at Kunming. Our host, Daniel, organized a reliable driver to bring us from Kunming to Dali and he got out of bed to greet us warmly at 1am. He was full of helpful advice about things to do in Dali and...
