Its very cheap! BUT.. the toilets and the washroom where very gross. So if You just want a place to sleep, it’s fine. We slept there, but we didn’t went to the toilet or took a shower even once.. It’s location is also okay! Friendly staff.

The location of this hostel is great, minutes walk away from the main bars, restaurants of Yangshou. I stayed in a 10 bed dorm which had its own private bathroom. The beds were standard for China and lockers were available to keep belongings safe. There are also public toilets and showers downstairs which also hosts a pool table. I have only stayed in this hostel in Yangshou so can't really compare it to any other but if you're on a budget and here for a couple of days I would recommend this place!

I really loved my stay at 131 in Yangshou! I came here on the dragon trip tour and I've got to say after rock hard beds in Southeast Asia it was so hard to get out of this bed!! It's so comfy and as the weather was cold while we were here the huge thick blanket kept me extremely warm. Loved the view from the rooftop just wish the bat opened at least once, maybe during summer it will? The tea room, lobby and pool room all can accommodate for many people and are decorated nicely!

Think we were meant to be staying at Monkey Jayne's as part of our tour but for some reason ended up here. Me and my partner arrived and our tour group we were meeting had already checked in. There were two other couples on our trip which like us had paid for upgraded rooms so not in dorms. I think this hostel clearly didn't have enough upgraded rooms as when we arrived we were given a room on the very top floor which fair enough had a large balcony but it was blaently the guy who owned / runned the hostels room as we caught him sleeping on the sofa thing in the lobby every night we were there. The room we were given had bedside cabinets a desk and a wardrobe all full to the brim with someone's stuff so we couldn't put our things away even though we were there for 3 nights. Also the table with the telly on had lots of items left out on the desk and in the bathroom it was full of shampoos cleaning products razors etc just left out. There was mould in the corner of the room and the floor was filthy made me want to vom. Also the roof wansn't proper and when there was heavy rain one night it felt like it was going to cave in on us. The roof top bar was never open and when we did explore the stairs up there sounded like they wouldn't take our weight (ps we are not fat) si we thought better of going up there to see the view, Positives.... Wifi in the lobby, a cute pet dog who the owner with dreds generally loves and treats well can't say the same for the other guy when he's not around though, and the dumplings omg best dumplings I had the whole time I was in China!!! Not a bad place if your hardly there and is in a good location
