The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable with lovely decor. Great bathrooms! We loved the pool and scenery. The food was okay and the breakfast pretty disappointing. We all had sick stomachs after eating lunch here and don't know if it's the oil used. The people are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately while we were here it was so loud with yelling in the pool from 5:00 onwards and yelling at breakfast in the morning. My friend was rudely told to move from her table by other guests. During the day there were moments of peace but the noise definitely made our time here not as calm and restful as you would hope for a holiday.

The hotel is a great choice for those who want to get closer to nature, the location is great for bicycling and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. The rooms are modern and well equipped, the public areas are also very comfortable. We enjoyed local cuisine in the hotel restaurant not only for breakfast but for lunch and dinner as well, the choice is really good (beef and tomatoes became our favorite). The hotel staff is simply amazing, they were very attentive and professional, all - English speaking. They were assisting us during the whole stay with our tickets booking, food orders, etc. They also provide us a free pick-up service. As we stay during Chinese NY holidays the hotel organized a great firework show for hotel guests! The hotel offers a very special touch and has a great atmosphere.

I stayed at the Apsara Lodge the weekend before the October holiday began, and it was a great break from big city life. The hotel had a boutique feel and great costumer service. All of the ladies there and Jacky were extremely kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, but my suggestion would be if you want to go into town more than once, see about staying somewhere with a free shuttle. It was quite expensive to hire the taxi to go in and out of the special area where the hotel is located.

A lovely place to stay. Most rooms have a great view. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Not all spoke english but were very quick to get someone who could. we had the junior suite which is just outside the hotel with its own private patio and pond area .they offered us a room in the hotel as soon as was available and were surprised that we declined. I wore no insect repellent and got about 5 mosquito bites in a week . My wife did and got none. If your into wildlife , we had a daily visit from a chipmunk , various birds (spotted a kingfisher 3 times),frogs, countless butterflies and a few bats early evening. The hotel staff were most helpful in arranging any transfers or trips.. free bikes came in handy. The swimming pool area is nice, not huge, but adequate for the size of hotel. If your looking for a hotel in a nice quiet area, friendly atmosphere with stunning views this is it . The only negative thing i can say is the local village, which i'm sure will be nice when its finished. Although that sentiment covers China in general

A relaxing and welcoming step into the countryside of China. We started our 2 week, self directed trip here and it was perfect. The beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The concierge, Jackie is a treasure and we ended up spending an extra day touring the area with him after the first day. He knows every oath and beautiful view to be found and is a must meet person when you visit! I highly recommend the electric scooter tour along the river and through Yangshuo, it covers everything you want to see in the area. Have fun!
