This hotel is expensive, the best hotel on Huangshan, however, if you have known how this is built, you will probably won't complain. Every piece of building material is manually carried up, piece by piece. Even the bath towels, linens, pillows, feather duvet. I'm super happy with my very clean renovated room in north wing. I never expected this standard.... More

If your agenda takes you to fairy bridge consider staying at Tianhai hotel Xihai a decent hotel, rated best on the mountain. Even with a guide helping to translate ordering dinner was difficult. I'll admit I was traveling with a picky eater and a vegan but it was difficult. We wanted to see the bridge of the immortals or fairy... More

We read many review and we were not expecting what we found for this hotel. First of all it is very nice, the lobby fancy and the rooms new and clean like a Hilton or similar. We stayed in the expensive part, around 1200rmb/night. I would definitely recommend to friends. We have seen other hotel lobbies and they didn't seem... More

Horrible communication with hotel. Did not accept cancellation after cancelling part of our group's lodgings. Do not stay here if you can avoid it. Foreigner unfriendly to the max. Expect to pay out of your nose for everything.

This is reportedly the newest and classiest of the numerous government-owned hotels on top of Huangshan. So we expected more. The location was great; the room was simple and small, and indeed the heat rack in the bathroom was terrific. But the hotel wasn't set up to take advantage of the great views! The windows were awkwardly designed and very... More

For the location, the hotel was far above expectation. Clean, comfortable and extras. The heated drying rack in the bathroom came in handy. The food was actually good not just what I call 'stomach filler'. The bathroom design may look nice but isn't practical. The shower and light against a glass wall into the bedroom area creates unnecessary brightness and... More

When you have been hiking up mountains in Asia and staying at accommodations where most building materials either have to be flown up or brought up by manual labour, you will be absolutely blown away by the opulence Xihai offers. The marble lobby with a huge chandelier (how did they fly that up there?) greeted us after climbing miles of... More

We stayed in the New Building Queen Room. We stayed one night on a wet, thundery Thursday at Xihai hotel 西海饭店 and were overall impressed with our stay. We arrived very early due to terrible weather conditions (11:30AM) and were able to check in early after a 15 minute wait as they prepared one of the rooms for us. Staff... More

Went there for hiking in April. We appreciated there is a nice hotel like Xihai which located in the national park and with over average quality of different features. Room is comfortable and clean, foods are tasty both dinner and breakfast, also hotel services are hospitable. We got sufficient information and suggestions of hiking routes from front desk manager. We... More

OK, folks, you should only book this hotel if you have done your homework and realize it is only accessible by a lot of stairs from the cable car. But once you are in you may be amazed, as I was, that they could build a modern western-style hotel in this location. Sure, the rooms are simple, but certainly more... More
