We stayed in the cheapest room in April (not yet peak season) - booked for the equivalent of $105 on ctrip and found it comfortable and adequate. The cheaper rooms are in an older building a 5 minute walk from the lobby and is next to the workers' quarters, which could turn some people off. But the room was well-appointed...

We had a reservation for the BaYun Hotel and stayed the night there. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. It's the closest one to the Bright Summit and was actually the cheapest option (1080 Yuan in the double room, which is really a lot for China). For me it was a huge expense as I am a student with...

After spending one night at Xihai Hotel, we moved to Baiyun Hotel, a 4-star rated lodging at Tianhai area the following day. The first encounter at the front desk was cold-cold shoulder, cold response. The guy never looked you at the eyes, busy looking at his smart phone, and only one-word answer from his mouth. No usher to show us...

We stayed at this place in the wintertime. The rooms had a small but adequate heater, the restaurant didn't. The food was ok, bit overpriced but what can you expect at this remote location. Everything has to be carried to this place, so it's logical it's bit more expensive. During the winter, you have the best sunrise if you out...

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. It's warm and comfortable. WiFi works fine. Location is nice as well. What we hate is the food. Not that its expensive, but it tastes terrible. Service is so poor. The food always takes forever to arrive.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. This is a 2-3 star hotel on Mt. Huangshan. Rooms are basic but it's okay as it's a brief stop before continuing our hike the next 2 days at Mt. Huangshan. Hot water is sufficient for shower and basic buffet breakfast is available. No wifi but free wired internet is available. This hotel...

To see sunsets & sunrises you must overnight. Baiyun (which means White Clouds) is a good option in a great location. Location: If you are fit, you can walk up to Baiyun from the West side in 5-6 hours including a side trip to Lotus Peak. If you take the cable car, you can get there 2-3 hours. At the...

A bit overpriced for the quality, but this is what you'll get mid or top mountain (1040 rbm per night). The standard room was pretty small, hard to move around, two single beds. Not much hotel amenities: just soap and two tea bags. Soundproofing is almost non-existent: bring earplugs! With earplugs in, I heard people talking in the next room....

I stayed in the hostel portion of this hotel. The room was definitely crowded because they put 10 beds into a room. By the way if you wanted wifi access you had to goto the hotel lobby. The location was right next to the food court, but prices are really high and make sure to eat early because the place...
