We travelled with my husband and our 4 kids. The trip was wonderful from beginning to end. We stayed in Awasi Atacama the first week of July. Every excursion, the guides, the food, the rooms, the service was a delight! At one point my 19 year old son got sick because of the altitude and needed to visit the local medical center. A member of the Awasi staff, Christopher, was there with us the whole time to make sure we had everything we needed. Even in trying circumstances, Awasi stepped up and provided the 5 star treatment we were used to receive.
My fiance and I stayed at Awasi Atacama for our honeymoon. The Awasi experience is nothing short of top tier, and Atacama especially is a truly magical place. The staff was so friendly, every meal was five-star and the excursions were thrilling. I would absolutely recommend a stay at Awasi for anyone looking for both a serene oasis and an epic adventure all at once.
I have travelled the world and have stayed in my share of amazing hotels. Awasi Atacama is in a league of its own. It is truly one of the best hotels in the world with an unparalleled level of service, food and experiences. This was my second time there and it has only gotten better. The staff and guides are exceptional and although a small boutique hotel there was not a single guest who did not express the same sentiments about the place. The Atacama Desert is extraordinary but made more so by the delight of returning each day to the care and comfort of this unique, amazing place.
Awasi Atacama is at least a 10-star hotel. In a category of its own, Awasi's food, villas, service, and experiences are unmatched by any other hotel in the area. Every villa comes with its own guide and a 4x4 vehicle to take you to any excursion you wish to do. Completely private. Completely taylor-made. To me, that luxury of privacy on your own time is worth every penny. And don't even get me started on food! Chef Juan Pablo and his team make every meal a Michelin star experience. They are, afterall, a Relais&Chateaux property. The staff have become our friends, and we cannot wait to see them again soon!
It is obvious from before you even arrive they are looking to understand what type of vacation you are location for and then delivering well beyond your expectations. Adjusting to your every request and delivering a level of service I've never seen before. All while you are in the middle of the Atacama desert. It started with our guide, Mabel. She was so thoughtful, funny, and genuinely wanted to show you the world of the Atacama Desert. We climbed a dormant volcano, hiked along/in a river bed, rode horses, and swam in the salt lakes. We went with more adventurous excursions and very thankful we did. Food and beverage. We had breakfast delivered every morning but one morning I woke up a little early and went to the restaurant and before I could even order our coffee drinks, they read to me the coffee drinks we ordered every morning to confirm I wanted them again. It is a little thing, but shows the level of detail they go to. I asked for no olives on one of the entrees, I never saw another olive again. The food is absolutely incredible. Such flavor and there isn't a single thing on the menu you'll be let down by. Great bartender in David. The service from Max, Alvero, Aljandro, Frenanda, Connie, Ericka...I'm sure I'm missing a few but they all deliver top level service without making it feel "stuffy". Very fun and personal. The hotel is beautiful, calm...and when the stars were out, sitting by the fires and drinking wine was so peaceful. Loved every moment and cannot wait to enjoy the other Awasi resorts and likely coming back to Atacama. Staying at the Awasi is the move to make when in San Pedro.…
I was lucky to stay at all 3 Awasi properties on my trip to South America. Awasi Atacama is a bit different from the others in that it is central in town. It is an easy walk to shopping and restaurants (not that you need to - the best one is at Awasi!). Obviously what sets Awasi apart from other places is your private guide and excursions. My guide (Alonso) was fantastic. We did a few hikes, saw the geysers and the sunset out in the desert. They even set up a star gazing excursion for me despite it being a bit out of season. Whatever you want or need - Awasi will do. The service is top notch and amazing. I could not have asked for anything more. Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant to the drivers were always ready with a smile. I can't recommend Awasi enough!!…
A phenomenal experience! The reception, accommodation, service, food, guiding, education about the area and indeed our overall satisfaction could not have been better. This is truly 5- star and beyond.
We spent a few days at Awasi Atacama - it was the perfect experience. The best part was having a car and guide to ourselves so that we could do just what we wanted. We loved our all day excursions and early morning sunrises. If we wanted to just sit and stare or spend hours hiking we could do so. The food and the service were extraordinary.
We chose the Awasi Atacama because we loved our experience at the Awasi in Patagonia. The two destinations could not be more different, however, we experienced the same level of care, extraordinary excursions and exemplary food & wine as we have come to learn, is the Awasi way. The biggest surprise was the diverse landscape. From vast sand dunes, to river rapids between huge canyon walls , wetlands and salt flats, there was so much to explore. As I am writing this, we are in our third Awasi in Iguazu Falls and having another extraordinary experience. We can’t say enough about the Awasi hotel group. We only wish there were more destinations.
My boyfriend and I had a more than perfect vacation in atacama with the AWASI experience. We are very thankful for our guide Lasse who knew how to be creative in organizing 5 days of very diversified adventures. We discovered varied landscapes and all this with an educational teaching of the places. Every day Lasse found ways to entertain us with something new and have respond right on our adventurous spirit. The experience was incredible thanks to the generosity and kindness of our guide who always found a way to surprise us with a little moment like a picnic or unexpected views. The whole AWASI team is very kind and welcoming.. The meals were delicious and worthy of high gastronomy. We loved sommelier Pablo's food and wine pairings as well as David's delicious cocktails. I recommend this experience to everyone, the awasi family will adapt your trip to your taste.…
