We stayed one night at La Aldea. The location of this hotel was good, being near to the main street. The room was a decent size and relatively clean (though San Pedro in general was just dusty/sandy!). We had a problem with the water heater. We wanted to take a shower in the afternoon but they were out of gas....

Front desk staff did not speak too much English. Water in the pool not clean - could not use it. The breakfast is a joke. Tepid instant coffee, you can see through it. Ham and cheese not replenished, the one staff did not want to understand that she should bring more even though half the people present have not eaten...

stayed in low season-very cold. heat not turned on until 8pm. by 6pm in this valley, gets cold. because of peripheral location, have to walk about 10-15 minutes to get lunch or dinner and in evening roads have poor lighting and potholes. structure is very nice but they need to improve hospitality and it would be a pleasant place.

I've had the opportunity to visit San Pedro twice in the last couple of years. First in Nov 2012 with a group of friends, and a second time in July 2013 with my wife and two children. During my first visit I stayed at Lodge La Aldea, and even thought it was only for a couple of days, I loved...

I hate writing reviews like this but I really feel that the "Lodge" should know and make changes... as in many cases it is the little things that count. The website and the place in general looks great and you can tell that they spent money to make it ascetically pleasing. However the reality is far different. I stayed here...

The hotel is very beautiful and relaxing. We stayed in a cabin and the architecture was gorgeous! The location wasn't in downtown but it was always a nice walk to get there! They recommended good tour guides and had a gorgeous pool and Jacuzzi. The staff was very helpful and asked us what time for breakfast, when we wanted to...

The web site of this hotel is marvelous! But the reality is far away from the presentation in the web! First they offer tv service, and the tv was without service all the time! We couldn't even watch the national channels! Our room suppose to have a jacuzzi, and it was not working, the hotel has a jacuzzi for the...

In a month's trip round South America this was by far the worst place we stayed at. Our room was very poor with very uncomfortable beds. Dogs barking much of the night made sleeping even more difficult. The swimming pool was half full with dirty water and effectively unuseable. No restaurant on the premises (though their web site refer to...
