This was a great hotel - friendly, helpful staff and has a 24 hour reception. The rooms are of a high standard (and mine had a hairdryer!). The breakfast was really nice with fresh apple tart. I booked an all inclusive type tour but a single room is about US$65 I think. (You should check). I enjoyed my stay there... More

Located approximately 3 blocks from the main drag of San Pedro, Hotel Dunas is an ideal location within walking distance of restaurants and tour agencies. It's close enough to everything you'll need, yet still felt secluded from the hustle and bustle of town. We booked a triple room for 4 nights. The room was spacious and the decor was charming... We recently booked to stay at Hotel Dunas on the strong recommendation of a friend. I had booked through Booking.com. Please be aware and read the small print of your booking.com (or any other booking agency) that if you are going to pay by credit card, you will be charged the local residents' tax rate of an additional 19% to... unfortunately I was ill for the 2 days we were in San Pedro but this hotel was a good place to be if you were unwell. Room fine and staff helpful. Breakfast basic but fine. Location is good as you are out of the main (very busy and touristy) area.

Stayed here with my son a couple nights in August. Was flawless. Rooms extremely clean, bed super comfortable (option to heat mattress) , hot shower, perfect wifi reception and great location (walk everywhere in minutes)... Staff friendly and made good recommendation for tour agency with whom we were satisfied. They stored our bags securely last day after we checked out... More

My wife and I spent four nights at the hotel while exploring the Atacama region. The lady at the front desk was really good in her attempts to answer our questions and needs. Chileno Spanish is the language however! We did enjoy the smallness and the quiet of this place. The breakfasts were adequate with a few additional cake items... More

We have stayed in an apartment for three nights. The apartment was quite spacious with two bedrooms, a kitchenette, dining table and a bath room. The furniture is simple but fine and the apartment is clean. The apartment is located very central. Would recommend to stay here if you are not looking for a luxurious place but with everything you... More

This accommodation is typical of the adobe style popular in this village. At first glance it seems somewhat spartan, but all the necessities are present: excellent shower, good breakfast, clean room, well functioning wifi. Also very friendly host who gave us an excellent recommendation for day tours in the area. The latter is valuable as the large number of tour operators... More

My wife and I loved the Salar de Uyuni, however, due to our poor accommodations we arrived in San Pedro de Atacama completely worn out. San Pedro is a nice town, but it's a very popular town and can be noisy and over powering. We were delighted with Hotel Dunas because it puts you close to the town square where... More
