Out of all the hostels we have been to this one felt like home. The breakfast was very nice and included fresh juice and hot chocolate. The owner was super nice and let us leave our stuff until late night that evening and we even took shower before leaving.

We loved this Hostel.. We got into town early and got to the hostel before the receptionist. We were greeted by Doña Juanita who immediately offered us to sleep on the couch while waiting for the receptionist. She made sure to put more wood into the stove and handed us blankets. This Hostel really felt like coming home, and the... More

Staff was super nice and helpful with regards to planning activities. Flexible with early arrivals and late exits. (We left our luggage in the common room more than once with no issues.) Really good breakfast. Very clean and comfy. Nice neighborhood.

This lovely little guesthouse is a perfect base for a few days in La Serena. It's a walkable distance from the bus station and the main plaza in town, and right down the road from the beach. The staff here are absolutely adorable, during our stay there were countless thoughtful gestures from lighting a fire on chilly mornings to bringing... More

I really enjoyed my stay at El Arbol. It is a calm, clean, small hostel. Recommendable if you search for a place to relax rather than a party hostel. Located in a residential area, the hostel gives the impression of a private house. Bathrooms and the kitchen were very clean. The 8 people dorm consists actually in two connected 4... More

I felt immediately at home at hostal el Arbol. This was my first time travelling alone, and when I got there super early in the morning, I was offered breakfast and got my bed earlier than expected. The staff are super friendly and helpful (also speaks English which is great since my Spanish is not the greatest). Everyone staying here... More

Easy to feel at home here. Definitely the cleanest hostel I've stayed in while in South America. Rooms were small, but clean and warm. Beds were extremely comfortable. Shared bathrooms were very clean. Friendly staff, good breakfast and free wifi. Good location, easy to walk downtown and elsewhere.

Hostel El Arbol II was definitely the best hostel that we stayed in Chile. It's located very close to the bus station, a MASSIVE supermarket, and the beach. The hostel is an awesome place to just chill out and relax. Especially good if coming from hectic places like Santiago or Valparaiso. All staff were great. The room itself was ridiculously... More
