We arrived here with no booking and we were lucky enough to get a two bedroom ground floor apartment, the managers were exceptionally helpful and even took us to a supermarket to get supplies, also helped sort out a local dentist for one of us with a loose crown. The rooms were a good size and clean and comfy. The...

We stayed 1 night at Hotel Serena Dream. We had a two bedroom suite for the 2 of us. Although you can tell this is a older hotel it is not badly maintained. The bathroom was small and there wasn’t much room in the main bedroom but that was because we had a big king size bed which I appreciated...

Serena Dream is more suitable for people looking for a place to stay for a week and do their own cooking. They have plenty to keep the little one's busy. The beach may be only 2 blocks away, but they provide enough pool space and all of the water toys kids could want. They have a play ground area and...

I can see how a family would enjoy the place. Pool, table tennis table, close to the beach and restaurants, bar at the pool, apartment with kitchen, 2 bedrooms, breakfast brought in in the morning. But we were disappointed. First, the pictures look really nice while the reality is that the building looks old. Inside, it smelled funky, like it...

Helpful staff but the room was dank and felt unclean. There were signs of water leakage in the walls and it looked as though it was some time since there had been refurbishment. The bedroom window opened straight onto a small side road which was dark and it felt unsafe to leave it open, so it was an airless and...

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. It is situated at a 10 min walk from the beach so it has no sea view. It's a 2 story building with 24 apartments, located around the 3 swimming pools. The surroundings are not quite completely developed yet (the hotel lies on a dirt road), but once inside the hotel it looks...

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel is very clean they bring your breakfast at your door in the morning. Owners and staff are very nice. Nice pool and very quiet. The only down side it is far from the city a good 30 minutes by walking. But only a 10 minutes walk from the beach.

Stayed at this apartment hotel for one night only. Situated two blocks from the seafront and a 5 minute taxi ride from the city centre, its location can only be described as being in an area of wasteland. That said, the hotel itself is very pleasant: consisting of 24 self-catering apartments around a lovely pool and spa complex with plenty...

We arrived for an overnight stay. The hotel was empty as it is off season so the restaurant was closed. Its a lovely hotel with lovely rooms and 3 pools and a jacuzzi but it wasnt warm enough to use. I imagine in peak season this would be an ideal location, although I also suspect it might be quite noisy as...

We stayed here in January, 2011 -- the original booking we had made at another hotel in La Serena was not honored and the owners of La Serena went well out of their way to accomodate our very last minute need for accommodation on one of their busiest weekends. We will never forget their amazing hospitality and generosity -- such...
