First of all location of the hotel is best, its in middle of the town and you have all good shopping and food places around. Believe this is one of the oldest and biggest hotel in Battambang and its a beautiful heritage hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable Staff is nice and very helpful They have a terrace lounge which has beautiful view of the city. Overall nice and comfortable stay and do recommend it
We stayed here for just 1 night as part of an Intrepid tour and would have been happy to stay even longer. The room was big, clean and the bathroom had a lovely big shower. The staff was friendly and a big variety for breakfast. The AC in the room wasn’t very cold, but that didn’t matter to us. They also have a great rooftop bar with a great view of the city!
This is a perfectly adequate hotel property - bedrooms are a good size and there is a lot of space around. However, it is showing signs of age and needs some investment and TLC. Staff were also pleasant but lacked training - we were advised the bar had closed on the top terrace and it was not even 1100 one evening. I would be happy to stay there again as it enjoyed a good central location
We stayed here as part of a tour and it missed the mark a bit. I know we were in the midst of the coronaviris but 1/2 a roll of toilet paper was just not good enough. It had everything that was needed but it just lacked something.
Don't be fooled by the name - I'm sure there are other hotels in Battambang - Cambodia's second city - that are "classier". This was all French Colonial - ornate, dark, heavy (all carved teak wood) but in need of updating. Rooms were reasonably sized, with in-room safety box, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar, usual bathroom bits & pieces, but very slow to respond /control air-con. Beds were rather uncomfortable & hard (management please to note). Dinner was held on the 9th floor, but the hotel lift only went up to the 8th floor - so you had to walk up the stairs thereafter Food was nicely presented, and very tasty. Breakfast was served on the Ground floor. The bar was on the 10th floor, and had the best views over Battambang and a nice cooling breeze. There were however some problems /mix ups with incorrect bar bills being charged to individuals and bar staff being belligerent - maybe it was just the heat (34 degrees), but fortunately our stay was just for one night here.....…
