Asia Hotel is located in town nearby to restaurant and bus station. I have booked a night, the room is good suitable with price. My room view to town. I love this hotel and recommend. My family visited for trip in Battambang.
We were very comfortable here. Our room was a good size with satisfactory bathroom and facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. Centrally located for easy access to the market and restaurants. There are lots of good restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner within easy reach. We would also recommend a "seeing hands " massage located acfew blocks away. Central market is colourful and interesting. A trip to the bat caves about 30mins away by tuk tuk to see the evening exodus of over a million bats is a phenomenal experience.
We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour. It’s in a good location, within walking distance of the markets and the river. We found it fairly quiet. Our room was on the first floor, with very efficient air conditioning ( had to turn it off!) plus a fan . We did have hot water, but a strange set up where the whole bathroom floor gets wet when you have a shower. You only get 2 towels, no hand towel, a bath mat outside the bathroom, two tiny cakes of soap. We didn’t try the TV, bit was an old large model, not flat screen. Bulk bottled water is available to refill your water containers. Apparently you need to book for breakfast the night before, but we bought a few items at the nearby bakery which was a cheap alternative. There’s also a supermarket nearby.
This hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance from the major attractions of the city of Battambang. Furthermore, they have got their own guide and tuk-tuk/motorbike driver that can be chartered to visit some nearby attractions that aren't within walking distance. I was VERY impressed with the facilities that they had in their little premise, beginning from WiFi to bicycles for rent. The room rates are VERY affordable, but one needs to pay extra for air-conditioning and hot water. The receptionists are very friendly and welcoming, but make sure that your dollar bills are creaseless and clean when paying them! I STRONGLY recommend this place as a home away from home to anybody that needs a place to use as base while in Battambang.
For the price we paid we were not expecting much but it turned out better than we thought. It is advisable to pay more for Aircon and hot water. It is a hot building as it has lots of glass windows. TV channels are quite good. We have our own kettle etc that we travel around with so it was no problem to us that the room does not supply tea, coffee etc. The room was very clean. Staff were very pleasant and they offered trips at the going rate of other places. Battambang is enough for 2 or 3 days. Not that much to see and very quiet at night. Not a lot of bars and a few good restaurants. Around a 10 minute walk to pub street, but don't expect much of a pub street! Asia hotel was good for the price we paid.
