Bambu Battambang Hotel was opened in September 2010 and has 16 bedrooms arranged in 4 traditionally inspired buildings. When designing the hotel we wanted to combine all that was best in the local Khmer and French colonial architecture whilst providing our guests with maximum comfort and convenience.All rooms have en suite bathrooms, air conditioning, telephone, flat screen cable TV, DVD player with access to our DVD library, iPod docker, mini bar, room safe and private terrace or balcony. Free WiFi is provided around the site and we also have 2 dedicated computer terminals in reception for use by guests.

Myself and my wife stayed recently at the Bambu, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcomed especially by the owner Pat. The hotel has a lovely vibe/ atmosphere and the staff will organise anything for you. They booked our onward journey bus tickets for us and also made plenty of recommendations on how to make our stay enjoyable. We followed Pat’s recommendation on our first evening and we ate in town but we found the hotel food so good that we ate at the hotel the following two nights. The hotel pool area is beautiful and we found it very easy to relax at the end of our days excursions. Well done Pat and team and thank you for a lovely stay, regards Kevin and Caroline.

We were staying in the outskirts of Battambang for work so we booked the hotel for the weekend. We wanted to stay closer to the city center. The hotel is close enough to the city center. It’s on a very busy street full of restaurants and clubs though none of that actually interferes with your sleep. The swimming pool was absolutely lovely and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating ( we were traveling with a 7 month-old baby). The mattresses could be softer, but the rooms were spacious and the patio outside our room was a pleasant space to enjoy the end of the day. The restaurant at the hotel serves a mix of traditional Khmer and western fare, and everything was excellent. The owner is a constant present at the hotel, overseeing it all in the friendliest manner. If you want to experience beautiful Battambang, that’s an excellent place to be.

This was a very comfortable, beautiful, and eco-friendly hotel. The rooms were large and well-appointed. A particularly nice touch was a guide written by the owner with things to do in Battambang. The restaurant and bar were good for dinner. The breakfast was not as lavish as other hotels we stayed in, but they did make eggs to order and the service was excellent.

Although this hotel has a pool and rooms are quite large it’s not quite got its act together. The first room I was shown to overlooked the street with a view of a wall covered in barbed wire and an ugly Greek partition. They did move me but seemed surprised that this was a problem for me. Although outside central Battambang there’s a noise issue with loud music from the street to the early hours. Having said all this, the staff are obliging and food at the restaurant was very tasty.

The reception staff upgraded our room without extra charge as I preferred not to be on the ground floor,thank you very much! The room is constructed in Khmer pattern, solid wood and well designed, with a large bathroom The whole hotel architecture is lovely with a beautiful garden and a clean pool. The bar has an extensive drinks list and the cooked breakfast is superb. We also had tasty, freshly made dinner twice and it was delicious, under the moonlight, with a view over the garden. The owner is involved and everything runs smoothly.

We were recommended to stay here for our trip to Battambang and we were not disappointed. It was just perfect - beautiful, comfortable, relaxing and welcoming. We ate here a few times and it was delicious! A varied menu to suit everyone. Pat the proprietor was sociable and warm and looked after us brilliantly, as did his staff.
We thoroughly recommend this wonderful place, in a great location to get to everything - Tuk tuks are easily arranged if required either through reception, PassApp or Grab - an app where you can arrange your own and often get a good / better price if you’re out and about.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to eat and drink many times in the restaurant which is always nice. On a recent trip into Battambang I decided to stay with a group of friends and loved it. Rooms were spacious, staff extremely friendly, bed and pillows wonderful. Breakfast was cooked with different options for individuals ordered tastes. Would I be back? Yes definitely!

We only stayed at Bambu Hotel for 2 nights. It is a cozy hotel that radiates a lot of tranquility through the courtyard. It is a bit further from the center, but you are actually in the center after a 10-minute walk. The rooms and bathroom are very spacious and, although we did not use them, there is a terrace overlooking the pool. It is an old building that has been renovated while retaining the charm of the building. The bar is very inviting for a drink in the evening. Breakfast is served in the courtyard. You can choose between the different options and it is very easy to combine different things. A downside of the hotel is its location in a street where there are also a number of karaoke bars and other entertainment venues. That caused noise in the evening. The hotel provides earplugs, but this is not exactly what you have in mind for this hotel.

It’s a perfect hotel for a getaway in the middle of the city! The staff at this property is all great and helpful, special thanks to SEN who welcomed and assist us. The room is big and comfortable. I’ve not been here for over 5 years and thankfully little has changed, indeed it’s got better. The food is easily the best in town, a great mix of Khmer and western. My friend was a bit choosy and they were happy to cook something special for them. The rooms are spacious and very appointed, all I think have balconies, which are a real treat. The pool and staff topped off a great stay.
