Mathew and team were absolutely lovely! We have traveled extensively in the region and our stay was by far one of the best we’ve had anywhere. The gardens are beautiful and the place has such a relaxed vibe. Truly is an oasis within Battambang.
The staff were extremely helpful with all and any requests we had. The food was great value and had plenty of veg/vegan options to choose from. Mathew, the owner, checked in with us personally each day. On Valentines Day he even serenaded my wife and I during dinner with his saxophone. We didn’t want to leave!
If you like low-key, small, service oriented places then look no further.

We booked 5 nights and stayed 2 months ...comfortably installed in the bungalows next to the swimming pool. The hotel staff is extremely kind and goes the extra mile. Top kitchen as well with local and western dishes....and if it is not on the menu..just ask.

The resort has some apartments for long term rentals.
The location also excellent ..close to everything
The staff goes the extra me for the well being of their customers so you end up with a family feeling.

Beautiful bungalow accommodation just outside the city centre! We loved our stay here, and the grounds are just beautiful! The owner made a point of saying hello to all the guests at breakfast which I thought was a lovely touch. Wifi is excellent, as are the laundry services! The food here was really tasty. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Battambang.

The pool is quite small and adequate for about 10 adults soaking, good to cool down in on a 35 C day, especially as it has shady areas.
As it is a natural pool, your skin won't smell like chlorine.
Our drinks of beer, juice and a soft drink, had no ice and only the beer was served in a cold glass.
We had chicken cordon bleu, chicken and bacon with mashed potato, and chicken and bacon with French fries.
The first two looked attractive and tasted great.
The chicken cordon bleu had very plastic cheese which brought it down from excellent to average.
The chicken, bacon and French fries arrived barely warm with the vegetables cold.
The chicken was presented mixed through/on top of the (soft) French fries, with a rich sauce poured over them both. There was no bacon. On calling the wait staff the plate of food was microwaved and was now hot. Unfortunately the fries were soggy and no longer crisp. When I asked about the bacon, I was told the chicken was cooked in the pan with it. Hmm, my friend had more bacon then they could eat plus onion. Mine was very different.

We were very please by the accommodation of this wonderfull hotel. Staff were always there to help and food was very good. It was very easy to go around the city using the local tuktuk and discover the market, heritage buildings in Battambang.

I preordered a spaghetti bolognese. The spaghetti have been reheated and was cut in small pieces. Wat it already cuted by an other client ?!?! For dessert, I ordered a scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was grainy and contained pieces of ice like it was an old ice cream.
Two persons at our table didn’t have a napking. When I asked for it, the waiter said that they didn’t have any more !!!
Overall, it has been a big deception and I don’t think that this restaurant deserve his good reputation.

The place looks lovely, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Mostly, everything is pleasant enough but there's a deal killer:
the beds are horrible and the pillows hard as rocks.
The bedding was so bad that even though I was supposed to stay two nights, I left after the first.

Beautiful garden area and natural pool. A lovely place to relax. Very nice menu, a little pricy but you get what you pay for. Ambient and relaxing it's a nice place to escape the dust and heat. The staff are most friendly and accommodating.

After some hours wandering around Battambang, walking onto the grounds of the Cabaret Vert was a true delight. We had encountered some very warm swimming pools elsewhere, so we were amazed at the temperature of the water, provided by the natural filtration system of their swimming pool (no chlorine! no salt! Just plants and oxygen). At last, a refreshing swim! The place is peaceful and pretty, the bungalows are very appealing. But the true pleasure is the food: if you enjoy Khmer cuisine, but are not impressed with the way Cambodians manage their ingredients, then this restaurant is for you! This was our best meal in three weeks: carefully prepared local cuisine with a French twist... Wonderful!

A friend recommended Cabaret Vert when visiting Battambang city. So I called to book. The person who picked up the phone wasn't professional at ALL! (He sounded french... must be the owner...) He first answered with a rude HELLO (without saying the name of the hotel until I asked 3 times...). I then asked about room availability and rates...He once again was rude and didn't seem to care about the customer service. I wanted to book and he made me wait on the phone, while he yelled at some of his coworkers (I guess, hopefully not to guests..). After having so much trouble with bookings and customer service, I gave up and decided to book somewhere else...
I really wanted to book Cabaret Vert but it was an extremely BAD impression the guy gave....
anyway, I don't know why people can stand people like this...
