The hotel is very nice and on the water, but not isolated. It is expensive. Situated at the end of the village it provides an easy access to the other restaurants, walks, sunset/sunrise on the bridge. The rooms are big, sunsets are beautiful from the rooms as well, not too many mosquitos, the food is good, the spa is starting...

We stayed 3 nights at the Viewpoint. Lovely people, great service. Laundry service was superfast. Spa gave good massage treatments. Loved the cocktails in the bar and their happy hour. Great suite, with balcony to watch the ducks on the lake from. TV reception was very good, we even managed to catch a Six Nations Rugby Match one evening -...

The Viewpoint made for a strategic location to explore the lake area and after a long day, the spa was just what was needed.  There were many Europeans here on  holiday and one can choose continental or local, which in this case was shan.  The results were mixed but the service was quite attentive. Thats the swiss management magic. We...

The Viewpoint Lodge is located on its own private lagoon right at the edge of the Nyuang Shwe town center. That location makes it easy to walk to the market and local restaurants. It's also right on the canal from which the boats for Inle Lake depart. The location is a bit noisy as the hotel is situated at a...

Visited as part of a tour group. We were seated upstairs on a long table, lots of room inside. There is also a balcony area. What an amazing lunch we had, starters arrive on a long serving tray which is placed onto a rack, so food is elevated off the table. Four people share this. The same with many of...

Stayed only for a night cos they were fully booked : ( View Point EcoLodge is truly a gem! It is located in the little town of NuangShwe just over the bridge on a canal, travellers' restaurants within walking distance, so you are not stuck eating there if you don't want to : ) but some one I met when...

This is a small hotel with bungalow type rooms on stilts and approached along wooden walkways over stagnant water. Again probably the best hotel in Nyaung Shwe but I would have preferred to stay the two nights here in Villa Inle Resort as there is little to do in this town if you have already visited Inle Lake. Again no...

We were in Inle Lake and stayed at the Viewpoint Lodge for 4 nights. The hotel has a two story main building and then a series of 'cottages' in the back of the property perched on stilts over a picturesque water garden. Quaint wooden footpaths connect the cottages to the main building and at night they are lit by bamboo...

Nice atmospheric central building housing reception, lounge, bar and dining room with accommodation in bungalows on stilts around a lake. Very comfortable rooms and the sound of ducks quacking everywhere. The locals breed them. We were not as impressed by the dining room as many reviewers. We felt that the menu was limited and overrated. However it is probably the...

Dropped in for lunch on our way to our stay by the Inle Lake as part of our Myanmar tour. What an amazing place and what an excellent meal. Fixed lunch menu but our first taste of green tomato salad – delicious. And there was also an avocado salad as well as chicken and fish in banana leaves to get...
