Firstly, we booked the resort but you're out into Mare, Bay or Palace. We were in Mare, it's busy - very busy, and there aren't enough sunloungers or space for everyone. Well there are sunloungers but you have to be up at 7am to get one! Rooms are outdated and small for a family of 4, dlfeel a bit grubby.

We booked a room with a "park view". I questioned it at reception as we look onto the front car park - this, in their opinion, is the park view! It is not clear in Jet2'a overview so be careful!

Beach is tiny but so much quieter than the pool area and you can get a bed. Loungers are uncomfortable though, no cushioning. There's also a Palace/Mare/Bay split, Palace have the best sunloungers and get water/nuts brought to the beds..nothing for Mare/Bay guests.

There is additional stuff here that is NOT all inclusive, I'm already paying a lot why pay to go on the inflatables, go karting, inflatable balls on the pool etc. Even popcorn you pay for! All the games in the games room you have to pay for, even 30 mins on the PS4? Very frustrating with kids to constantly be asked for stuff and you have to pay.

Very few lifeguards or staff to interact with anywhere, those who you do see are disinterested. Slides are good but random opening times. Weather has been lush so kids spent plenty of time in the pool and outside, perfect for them.

Food, there are lots of options but it's not high quality. Salads and bread rolls are nice. We're adventurous foodies and everything hot is oily so I'm put off it all. Pudding selection is not good and not what I'd expect. The ice cream cart is cute but the queues for the pizza and pretzels are sometimes insane! Panini's on the beach are good. The paella seems to be sitting out for quite a while.

Wine, oh my goodness it's disgusting! Even with soda I couldn't drink it, absolutely gutted 🤣

Very confused about where you can/can't go as a Mare guest, we went into the Bay restaurant one night but we're almost chased out..it seems like one hotel but it's clearly not. There are lots of signs up "Palace guests only" but not much that say "Mare guests only"!

Also, LOTS of people smoking and oblivious to kids, whether you're eating or whether you're ok with it. I know it's outside but you're often surrounded by chain smokers and as a non smoker I've found it sometimes intolerable.

I wouldn't go again, don't expect four star it's definitely not!

Dear Rachel. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are extremely sorry to hear about the poor experience you had during your recent stay SOL NESSEBAR RESORT. At our resort, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and ensuring that all of our guests feel comfortable and at home. We are disappointed to hear that we fell short of our goal in your case. We hope for your understanding, that you cannot book 4 stars section and use 5 stars services and amenities. Awsome hotel with à LOT to do with the kids! Much food to choose between at the day! Very good breakfast!
So good shows and mini disco at the night. Much drink to choose in all inclusive. We really enjoy the vacay!
But a suggestion to the hotel: Take ONE of the elevators to the familys with stroller. We waited for a very long time for a elevator to go for breakfast lunch and dinner… there is no respekt for the guests… some can walk without a problem in the stairs.. but it was not fun to walk with the stroller down and up the stairs for breakfast and dinner…
Thanks bulgaria for this time!

This is my second holiday at the Sol Nessebar Mare and I was NOT disappointed. There are so many options for snacks and pools with a lovely beach on the doorstep. The staff are nice and the rooms are spacious and carpeted with air conditioning. The pools are open 9 till 7, the water temperature is perfect and for people with mobility issues the pools are shallow and easy to walk into. Snacks are available throughout the day in addition to main mealtimes (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Sunbeds by the pools are free and every bed has a table and an umbrella. I was with family, we had 2 rooms and the receptionist gave all of us a room key each. Our room had 2 water jugs that we were able to keep topped up with fresh water from the dispenser in our corridor. This hotel is brilliant at the 'little details'. I don't want to leave but I will be back next year.

Having returned from am 11 day all inclusive holiday which I wouldn't say was all inclusive in any which was shape or form!

Height restrictions for water slides were changed on my 3rd day there preventing my children from being able to go on 5 of them to 2 of them no explanation given!

Food was horrendous, nearly all of the meat tasted under cooked and was still red! Veg was still solid may aswell have been giving to us raw! Breakfast chef tried to give me fried eggs that were undercooked, when you tried to speak to any of the staff in the restaurant about the quality of food none spoke English or even little and giving it being a 4/5 staff resort you would have thought they would have been a little more accommodation to the language barrier! My child didn't eat for nearly 4 days due to them not being accommodation with prov8ding whole fruit for my child to eat or butter at tea time so they could even have a slice of toate which I thought was very unprofessional!

Drinks all come out of machines even cocktails, vodka coke vodka orange etc, ive never known anything quiet like it, no alcohol pops, kopperburg etc behind the bar literally only draft beer if you wanted a bottle of beet you neded to pay (even though we were all inclusive) bo bottled water behind the bar, crisp, peanuts or snack it all needed to be paid for, only provided ice creams no ice lollies or ice pops which again is not all inclusive!

My child hurt there toe outside of the hotel,it was pouring of blood, when I went to reception to ask for a plaster they didn't have a first aid kid (which sort of hotel doesn't have a first aid kid especially a 4/5 resort????) It was an absolute joke and they didn't even provide me with any tissue to stop the bleeding or ask if my child was alright!I found this absolutely disgusting!

Water balls are 12lev, go karts 4lev, water karts 4 lev, bouncy castle 8lev, mini disco same songs each night and only on for 30 min, never In my life have I ever attended an all inclusive holiday where I have had to pay for so much and a mini disco that is only on for 30 mins!

Ques for outside restaurant were very long, seemed liek they were understaffed, I waited 30 mins for pizza got to front of the queue and they stopped serving no warning or notice just said they were shuttimg which I though was absolutely disgusting behaviour! All staff were very rude and could do with learning how to smile in all honesty

I could list many more issues but I think I'd be here all day.

For the price I paid for the holiday and what I received was very disappointing and I won't be returning anytime soon. I thoight I would give it a try as the pictures looked very appealing however this was not the case. My advise would be to avoid.

We chose the hotel because of the tobogans and slides for our children. We also expected a high level of standards from the **** hotel with an extra fee for the sea view. We got the average *** hotel with very limited opening hours of the aquapark, a lot of fast food (quantity without quality), a large amount of cigarette smell everywhere, a lack of cleanness and a lot of night noise. Black hair and hairs in our bathroom to welcoming us, not cleaned public bathroom regularly, old furnished hotel room without any change during the time (it seems last changed thing was 20 years ago). My son had an extra bed made from an old armchair smelling urinate and my daughter had an extra bed as two mattrasses, that was better. There are restricts as no putting towels on the camp beds or no smoking at the swimming pools, but no one respects them and there is no body who controls and requires them. If you do not put your towel or anything on the camp beds there is no chance to use it all day. There is also a lot of noise during the night especially if you have the hotel room above the lobby terrace without any night rest.
Different opening hours of slides and tobogans. Why? One of the most favourite tobogan is open only 2 hours a day. Why? I really do not understand that point.
Different opening hours of outlets. Why? It is very confusing.
I am very sorry for taking the hotel for our summer family holiday. I will definately take a different destination in the future.

All inclusive if you consider a derelict hotel with no drinks, no staff and a walk to the adjoining hotel acceptable.

Be aware that if you’ve paid to stay in the Mare, you can NOT use the pool next door (the one with the pool bar, entertainment, snacks etc), you must stay at the pool with none of the above.

Poorly run and falsely advertised. No TUI reps visit, so you’re at the mercy of emailed or app messages.

I would not have booked this expensive all inclusive hotel if I’d have known how derelict the actual hotel was

Dear Klt13jul, Thank you for your stay and for taking the time to leave us feedback. We're determined to make your stay with us pleasant, and I am sorry to learn that some aspects of your visit turned out otherwise. Thank your review we have the opportunity to explain our policy regarding shared facilities, so let us do so: Our guests are entitled to use the main restaurant, lobby bar and outdoor swimming pool of the hotel in which they are accommodated. The rest of the facilities and services are open to all guests of the Resort. The guests of Sol Nessebar Palace may use the lobby bars of Sol Nessebar Bay and Sol Nessebar Mare. Regarding pool usage, allow us to point out that ALL resort activities (aqua gym, water polo. floating path etc. run by our animation team at the Sol Palace pool) are open to ALL guests. The pool bar at Sol Nessebar Palace pool is at the disposal of all resort guests. Right beside the outdoor pool of Sol Nessebar Mare is Der Biergarten with drinks and snacks. Right beside the outdoor pool of Sol Nessebar Bay Taperia Malecon is situated, offering drinks and snacks conveniently for those who are around the outdoor pool of Bay. Each of the above-mentioned outlets is also meant for all Sol Nessebar Resort guests (Mare, Bay and Palace). The sunbeds of the Palace outdoor pool are, understandably, exclusive to Palace guests. All Mare or Bay guests can upgrade, at an extra cost, upon availability. I have shared your sentiments with our teams and I am confident that we will consider your thoughts to enhance our services, especially in point providing information to our guests. Thanks again for choosing us and we look forward to having the opportunity to restore your confidence in our hotel soon. Wishing you all the best, Best regards, Janina Ninova Quality Manager Sol Nessebar Resort

I visited with my family in july 2019 and stayed in the bay hotel of the resort. Had a great time
So decided to book again in aug 22
Tbh it was completely disapointing compared to last time
Everywhere is over crowded and there were queues ( 20 mins for food outlets and restaurants)
People pushing in, annoyed and rude
The air conditioning in rooms and public places/ restaurants doesnt work
There are 3 hotels making up the resort. One hotel is shut ( the bay) apart from sleeping in it
So theres two hotels ( mare and palace )
The hotel completely oversells its facilities as most of them you cant use if you are staying in the mare
And dont pay for the palace ( doesnt tell you this on website, jet 2 or at reception
You are led to believe your staying in a resort with facilities of three hotels
When i stayed in 2019 there was a pool burger bar..this has now moved inside the Palace so we were told by reception and jet 2 we could use this burger bar. So we visited and my children were actually screamed at by the burger bar staff that we were not palace customers and could not use the burger bar
The restaurants: same food every eve
Chicken pork rice chips...gets very old and boring
Tbh if you dont stay in the palace and and stay in the mare or bay you are made to feel like a 2nd class citizen and that wasnt my idea of a great holiday
Three days in and
Feeling very disappointed that ive spent 4000 on this holidaive definitely been to better 3 star hotels

Rooms pretty good big and clean, food plentiful in main restaurant but not always cooked properly but there are plenty of snacks to be had in dedicated sites around the resort, the best meal was from the Italian themed restaurant which is great, but you would not starve with the amount of variety. Management let owners park cars in the hotel front two fire exits, you would have to climb over them in emergency. This resort sells itself on its waterpark, it's only open 6 hours a day, has an hour lunch break 1230-1330, and of the 5 slides only 3 are ever open at once. Good nightly entertainment and plenty to occupy children the beach is on site. Not a bad place for a holiday, but worry about the fire safety.

Dear Neviscarr, Thank you for your stay and feedback. Thank you also for your kind words about the big and clean room, food (especially snacks and Italian). We have always operated our aqua park on a rolling daily schedule for opening the individual slides at specific time slots during the day. This schedule ensures that guests will be able to experience all rides at specific times. So, at any given time, it may be the case that just a couple of slides are operational but, over the course of the day, the guests will enjoy the full experience of a full size aqua park. Greetings from our animation team and from all of us! Thank you again and hopefully till next summer! Best regards, Janina Ninova Quality Manager Sol Nessebar Resort

The hotel Sol Nessebar Mare is one of three hotels that belong to the Sol Nessebar Ressort complex. It offers the possibility to use the leisure and animation facilities of all three hotels. It is very spacious, well structured and has direct access to the beach.
The rooms are really good, about 20 sqm with shower, bathtub and air conditioning.
You have a great variety of food during the day, from pizza to paella(which was one of my favourites).
There is a lot of entertainment, too, a lot of different games and activities and din the evenings there are shows for both children and adults.
The service is excellent, the whole staff is very friendly, above all at the reception.
But there is one woman who really makes a difference there. She combines everything a guest can wish for: she is very competent, friendly and always willing to help.
Any hotel would be happy to have someone like her.
Rayna, thank you so much for everything, you have made our stay such a pleasant one🤗

We have just come back from the Mare hotel. This busy family hotel, with its pools and the water slides are great, the only reason we wouldn’t return is the food. Breakfast was great, some one making fresh pancakes which was a hit but usually a long queue. For the Day time food outside in various areas in the complex you could have hotdogs, pizzas, pannini’s, sausages, fruit, fresh doughnuts which was great. The main restaurant we found disappointing and very limited. Very repetitive ( Bulgarian night twice a week) . The soups were lovely however twice they forgot to switch the tureen on so it was luke warm. Usually a fish dish pork or chicken with a choice of cabbage, potatoes and tinned carrots and green beans ( plenty of salads and chips). We usually found something that we could eat which was ok but so limiting. ( the allocated visit to the iItalian restaurant in the Palace , the food was great) The last night was a choice of veal which was chewy or a rolled reformed chicken which we left and had 2 bowls of just warm soup instead. Not what I would class as 4*. Realised there was a kids section hidden after 4 days , opened up the chicken nugget and it was brown reformed and sort of hollow in the middle. Also evening snacks were limited to sushi or Spanish tapas which again limiting especially for kids. Over all we did have a great holiday just disappointed with the evening meals.

Dear Loise R, Thank you for your booking! Although the Aqua Park is open from June, it is weather and occupancy dependent. In the last couple of seasons, we managed to open it earlier. Please rest assured that the kids' slides in front of the Kids' castle are open with the hotel opening, as are those at the Geysir park, and the heated indoor pool offers a pleasant atmosphere also.
