A very nice hotel with fabulous views over the Black Sea from the higher rooms. Our room was on the 4th floor and we faced the old town of Nessebar which was a 10 minute walk away it was large and spacious with a safe (chargeable)fridge, kettle, iron and ironing board and loads or hanging space for clothes. The staff were excellent everyone couldn’t do enough. The food was good and varied very much what you get at any all inclusive hotel not always hot but there was a microwave if needed and there was snacks available in the marina bar when the main restaurant was closed. I can’t comment on the pool as I preferred to go across the road to the small beach for a swim the sea was lovely. Would I go back to this hotel my answer is yes definitely. Thank you to all the staff and a big shoutout to Radka our cleaner

We were a little concerned about some of the reviews but there was no need to worry. The hotel location was great a few minutes walk to the old town (bit of an incline walking back) with a small beach (no sunbeds) on your doorstep and a bigger one (with sunbeds) a stroll away. It's also in a quiet area. The hotel is lovely, spotlessly clean, big rooms all with some sort of sea view. Staff were excellent a special mention for Petra on reception who always greeted customers with a big smile and was vey helpfull. A lot of people complained about the food which was your normal fare for all inclusive and could be a little repetitive, a lot of Pork dishes. That said you could always find something to eat. We also ate out locally on a couple of nights. The view from the skybar was lovely. I would suggest nightly entertainment in the downstairs Marina bar rather than just two nights a week, also on the Marina bar I couldn't understand why that closed at 11 and the sky bar at 12 most people went from the early bar to the late bar after it closed. The carpet on our floor could do with replacement or relaying at least. If getting taxis ask hotel reception as taxis tend to overcharge when picked up locally. A 20 Lev journey to Sunny Beach became a 30-50 Lev journey and a trip from the hotel to the ferryport that was 5 Lev turned in to a 30 Lev journey to go back when not calling hotel recommend company. Always ask price of journey before getting in. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and great value would definitelyrecommend for a stay in Nessebar.

Dear tomcallaghan, Thank you for this review. We will discuss your suggestions in order to improve the quality of our product. Yes, the taxi company that we work with has fixed prices , so we recommend our guests always to order taxi through Reception. We are sorry for the unpleasant moment with the taxi taken outside , that you have mentioned in the review. We are happy that your overall impressions are positive and wish to welcome you again! 1). The hotel, the Sol Marina Palace in Nessebar, was good, a little dated but clean and spacious. Our room was comfortable with ample storage space.
2). The majority of the staff were pleasant, however of the two chefs that cooked the omelettes at breakfast, the tall one was extremely rude with most of the guests. He looked bored stiff all the time and acted as though he was doing us a favour cooking for us.
3). Breakfast was passable if you liked cold food. Lunch was ok if you liked salad but there was only salami-type meats or cheese to go with it. We ended up going into the snack bar for lunch most days and had a sandwich, which was always cheese and ham, and chips.
The food in the main restaurant of an evening was absolutely abysmal. After the second night I informed the Rep that the food that was supposed to be hot was cold including the soup. To my amazement and annoyance she told me that as Bulgaria had a hot climate they ate their food at a much cooler temperature than in England! Did she think I was stupid?
The choice of dishes was very minimal, usually chicken or pork in a sauce or in batter. There was pizza that was undercooked and very unappealing as well as cold. The soup was always luke warm and, having tried it on two occasions, under seasoned and tasteless. Every day there were fries, which were preferable to the cold potato’s in sauce.
We had the complementary meal in the a la carte restaurant which was primarily a mixture of the left overs from breakfast e.g. the cheese and meats from breakfast dressed up to look a little different. We were offered a choice of cold soup or “hot” sweet potato soup. We chose the hot soup which was neither hot nor edible. We were most underwhelmed by the meal presented to us.
We gave in for the last three nights of our holiday and ate out at a restaurant about a ten minute walk from the hotel where they had a huge choice of dishes at very reasonable prices and all were piping hot!
I did complete the hotel questionnaire and commented on the food only to be told that no one else had complained. This was far from the truth as it was the talk of the hotel and many guests, like us, went out to eat.
We were also not warned about the taxi drivers. The cost of taking a taxi booked by the hotel to Sunny Beach was 20 lev but our return taxi, supposedly on a meter, was 45 lev! I think that the Jet2 reps ought to let customers know at the reps meeting and advise them to ask the hotel to book all taxis.
Overall, when you book an All Inclusive holiday you expect to be able to eat reasonably well. We are far from bring picky eaters and will try most things but I can honestly say, having travelled with Jet2 many times, we will definitely not be going back to this hotel and that Jet2 should seriously look at the standard of food that this hotel is offering.

When we first arrived to the hotel everything seemed to be perfect however after staying for slightly longer my family and I were left wondering if we were staying at the same hotel as all of the positive reviews on here. Firstly the room, the walls are extremely thin , you can hear everything that the rooms either side of you are doing/saying and I mean EVERYTHING. The bed is also not the comfiest , 2 single beds pushed together and extremely squeaky! The food is absolutely awful! Very clearly recycled food , food from breakfast being used again for lunch and food left over from lunch being repurposed for dinner! Pizza and chips being served for most meals with some sort of pork or chicken in mystery sauce. We ended up having to go out to eat as we were living off pizza and bread and butter! The “show cooking stations” is one chef putting freezer chips into a deep fat fryer and making omelettes at breakfast, but don’t dare ask for one as the chef will be extremely annoyed at you. They also apparently do 3 theme nights but you would never be able to tell. The upstairs pool is very confusing , there is no where that gets sun for the full day , 90% of the sunbathing areas are in the shade! People getting up early just to get one of the 2 areas where you can actually sunbathe. Also whilst we were here part of the roof collapsed above the sunbeds at the sky bar. A large chunk of the roof fell off and smashed into the sunbeds! Luckily no one was sat there as they could’ve ended up seriously injured! This is extremely concerning and a massive health and safety risk. Overal I would not recommend this hotel to anyone , we had an awful weeks holiday here and we couldn’t wait to leave! The only positive is the location of the hotel as you are close to the old town etc.

Dear Emily, Thank you for being our guests! And thank you for the critical comment. We are very sorry that you are disappointed in your stay. According to the rooms, all beds have mattresses underneath. The walls unfortunately, we cannot change. Also we are trying to keep good quality and variety of the food and drinks, but it seems it did not match your taste. There are huge choice of eggs and bacon at breakfast, meat and vegetables at all courses. The show cooking prepares pancakes, omelets and others. We have different themed nights, some of them are accompanied with live music and dance shows. The pool at the roof has enough space and lying beds We are sorry for your bad experience and we welcome you again in order to improve your bad impressions.

Me and my partner decided to give bulgaria a go this year and stayed for 1 weeks holiday.
This hotel is in a great location as the old town is around a 12 minute walk, the beach is on your door step and then new town is also close by approx 5mins depending on which direction you take. You can either walk to sunny beach which would take about 45mins or you can hop on the little train for and go across on the little ferries which you can catch both in the old town.
The hotel itself is a nice place to be. With two bars, one on the top of the building called the sky bar which has some stunning views and the other called bar marina which is down by the lobby. This bar has snacks, tea, coffee, alcohol and so on.
The restaurant was actually pretty good food wise. They have a different theme every night and some nights they also put on some entertainment. Lunch was actually really good too. Probably my favourite! I ate my body weight in Feta!
They also offer a gourmet menu whereby you can book your slot and enjoy an 8 course meal. The food was lovely however I oticed they didn't specify any allergens on the menu before booking but then did on the day so worth double checking before you book.
The pool on the top floor was a nice relaxing place to be however the pool was freezing. I wondered why no one was getting in until I dipped my toe in and thought 'ah this is why' 🤣 On this basis, the beach is definitely your go to if you fancy warmer water!
The room we stayed in was OK. The decor is a bit tired e.g wallpaper starting to come off the walls. However room was a good size with a view of the sea. We were woken up most mornings by the delivery trucks/dustbin men accessing the side of the hotel. So luck of the draw depending which side of the hotel you end up on.
I also spent my birthday here and the staff brought round a bottle of sparkling wine and a fruit hamper which I thought was a really nice touch.
Overall myself and my partner have enjoyed it here and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in nessebar.

Pros. Hotel location is excellent, 20 min slow walk to Old Nessebar , 15mins walk to sandy beach. beds are comfortable and the shower is easy to control. Cons, small balcony with cheap plastic chairs, being a larger lady I sat on one and the legs splayed out, did ask for a for stronger chair but nothing came of it. Decor in room must have been done by someone colour blind, lime green voile curtains and a dark green curtains and a counter pane that would have been happier in the 50s. Be warned swimming pool not accessible if you are disabled or have mobility issues, there is only one set of metal steps with VERY LARGE STEPS.I fell backwards getting out and got my leg trapped behind step, lucky someone saw and came to help me out. All in all a lovely hotel with a bar on the roof withe views of surrounding area, food was nice but then all inclusive food is basically the same everywhere.

Good location next to old town. Wonderful views from the hotel roof skybar. Walking distance to the beach and local shops
Bar staff and cleaners very friendly. No queues at bar and self service drinks at meal times. Rest of the staff miserable as if they don't want to be there. Food either cold or luke warm. Offering a microwave in the dining room is putting a sticking plaster over the problem than addressing it. The complementary seven course dining on the roof was a very pleasant experience and definitely recommend even though food was based on buffet food it tasted better as it was presented so nicely. Guys serving were friendly and attentive. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are in need of a update as they are a bit shabby. Beds uncomfortable

Stayed here for 4 weeks in Sept '23, we have just returned from another 4 week stay, which hopefully tells you how much we love this hotel! It ticks all the boxes, it's spotless...towels changed daily, the food is varied, with everything from chilli and lasagna to slow roasted pork. I even had a shark steak one lunchtime! There was a good choice of salads and fruit too. The 7 course a la carte meal was unbelievable.... amazing food all served beautifully. This is Bulgaria...if you want British bacon and a roast beef Sunday lunch this is not the hotel for you! The Sol Marina Bar is a lovely place to relax and meet new friends, it leads outside to a little courtyard with comfy chairs and sofa's. All the staff work long hours, some cannot speak much English, but that's ok. Overall I think this hotel offers great value for money.

Currently staying here for 6 nights with my mum (in her 70s). We arrived having missed lunch by about 15 mins, we'd been up since 3:45 that morning so we're a little hungry. Don't worry! The Lobby bar has pizza, wedges, salad, ice cream and coffee so you can help yourself. We had a side sea view, so we're away from both roads at front and back. To be honest these are really quiet anyway. Air con, pillows and extra pillows in the wardrobe. Plenty of hangers and hanging space in the wardrobe for 2. The room is impeccably cleaned every day and coffee refilled. The pool bar and the all-inclusive cocktails are excellent, I'm not really a drinker, can't say the same for mum! The bar staff are really attentive and friendly. There are lots of comments about the food. We honestly have no complaints. Breakfast is amazing (pancakes, Nutella and cherries for the last two days!). The best meal by far was the Terrace Restaurant a la carte experience. Mum and I dined last night, 7 courses of fabulous service. The head chef is great, try the iced soup, very refreshing. Everything looked fantastic, and watching sunset over Nesebar was lovely. Enjoying our stay very much, would highly recommend, all the staff are lovely, theirs is lots of choice to eat and drink. Not to mention the location, you can join the locals in walking down to Old Nessebar for the evening where there are many restaurants, coffee shops, and lots of retail opportunities. Or new Nessebar has as much to offer in great bakeries, coffee shops and a really good pet shop!
