Detailed Reviews
This is our second stay at this hotel.
This time we came as family of 12 persons.
Hotel is very nice and well looked, food is very tasty like homemade, down side-food isn't hot enough and no water is provided at the dinner time, at breakfast time we have plenty of drinks such as juices, coffee, water, milk, tea.Rooms are very big,and warm, beds and cushions very comfy.Every day cleaning service was quite good. Slippers and towels been provided in a room. Floor in a bath and toilet were hitted-that is very useful when you step on it after bath. Drainage in bath been blocked, but its do not cause a big problems,no any smell. We expect to have a kitle in our room, but unfortunately hotel do not have this facilities at all.
Sauna, steam room, pool area was excellent and very clean.
Very nice and welcome reception area where we spent our evenings with bottles of wine in front of amazing fireplace.
Shuttle bus for slope was very punctual and welcome.
Highly recommend this hotel and definitely will be back next year again.

We stayed in Radina's way hotel in March 2020. The hotel is stunning!
The location offers you a great view of the forest, fresh air and the hotel is close to restaurants and near the ski slopes. The staff on reception was very polite and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean and warm. We truly enjoyed the SPA facilities, especially the sauna and the jacuzzi. In the morning there was a great variety of food during breakfast. Everything was delicious and very well cooked.
One thing that wasn't pleasant is that you can't import foods and even water in the room.
We would definitely come back to Radina's Way!
Best regards

We stay 5 nights, 6 days in this hotel: we are very satisfied about all in this hotel: the kind and polite people, the large room, pleasant atmosphere, tasteful interior finishes, good food, nice and free pool, Spa and sauna.
Also they have a shuttle that transport you for free to and from the ski slope.
The location of the hotel is nearby the forest, silent street, very paceful and quiet.
And the price was also very attractive.
Many thanks!
We want to come back next year!

I’ve just stayed at the Radinas Way for a long weekend with friends. We had a really good stay, the hotel was clean and the staff friendly.
We were on half bird basis which was excellent value. The buffet breakfast was great with yoghurt, fruit, fresh bread, bacon, eggs (scrambled or fried) amongst other things. They played pretty lively house music at breakfast which was ok but could imagine some might not like it.
Dinner was also buffet and we had a good salad with choice of pork or chicken with rice or fries and some limited vegetable option. It was tasty and we enjoyed it. For variety we did go out for dinner in town for two out of four nights even though we paid half board. Bulgaria is good value for money when eating out so this didn’t break the bank. It was good to have the choice.
The swimming pool and sauna, steam room, spa and gym were all excellent and really enjoyable after a day of skiing. In the room was a good quality robe that you can wear to the health suite.
The bar was comfortable with fire and TVs. There was also a games room with table tennis (small charge to rent the ball and bats).
Rooms were excellent with only one small issue - the heat is not easy to control and as with most Bulgarian places the temperature was on max. We opened the windows at night to cool it down and closed the bathroom door which had underfloor heating cranked to the max. After that the rooms were a comfortable temperature.
Transfer to ski slopes was punctual and we got a space easily, however it was end of season and quiet. Taxi to the slopes is 15 lev so not outrageous if you want to travel outside of the free shuttle times.
I would recommend this hotel, we really had a great time!

We were there in February 2020 and it was pleasant staying. Staff are really friendly, rooms are spacious and food was delicious. It is not close to ski center but you have shuttle bus every half hour so it is something that makes it more intimate. The only objection is slightly dark room, but I suppose that others are lighter.

To start with this was a budget holiday booked through an agent, but the hotel surpassed our expectations in every way.
It is a little way out of Borovets, but it is easily walkable. We're around 50 and walked into town, (without ski boots on) in 20 minutes and it's a nice walk. The road isn't at all busy though slightly slopped up hill going into town. Makes returning easier.
There is a free courtesy bus that runs mornings and afternoons to drop and collect you from just outside the Samokov hotel. It works well and the driver even used to recognise us if we were walking and would stop to see if we wanted a lift.
The room we had was plenty big enough with, TV, hair dryer, robes and slippers for your use especially when going down to the spa.
The food was ok. It is typical buffet style which suited us and we always found something that we wanted to eat and there was always plenty of it.
The staff generally were very pleasant and helpful. The odd ones didn't appear to speak English, but let's face it we were in their country and I'm afraid to say I don't speak a word of Bulgarian.
The hotel was generally very clean and well maintained. If we had an issue we spoke to reception who resolved it quickly.
I wouldn't have a problem at all staying at the hotel again especially if looking for a quiet place away from the excitement of Borovets town

This was our second stay at radinas way and we were not disappointed. We travelled as a group of nine (split over 3 rooms) 6 adults and 3 children between us.
We had a luxury apartment on the top floor which is huge, massive balcony and just lovely!!
Food was actually really nice both for breakfast and evening meal.
Reception staff very helpful. Rooms very clean, swimming pool and sauna area nice and no additional fees!
Our room had tea and coffee making facilities however our friends rooms didn’t and although kettles are available to hire there weren’t any available. This wasn’t a massive issue but for some people it may be important so worth knowing!
Shuttle to the slopes and back is frequent, taxi is only 10lev should you need it.
Amazing place, lovely hotel, we will definately be returning next year

We thought this hotel was an amazing bargain for the price we paid at the end of the ski season. We checked in very late in the evening and they were thoughtful to give us a pack up as we had missed dinner. Room was fine, fitted our needs. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great, as the hotel wasn’t so full we had the usual cereals etc but you could order bacon, eggs etc if you wanted it. The chef made us pancakes which we loved! A shuttle bus is put on to/from the slopes, takes 5 mins and was very efficient.
We see some people have had issues with the food? Our experience was an amazing one. We were served upstairs in the main room as the hotel was quiet and had a choice of starters, mains and desserts. The food was outstanding. Super soup or salads, chicken/pork/fish mains and a range of desserts. Very professionally presented. Huge portions - probably too much food. Only gripe is that there was no rest between courses, when the staff came to clear away our plates they brought the next course at the same time.
Pool was nice with the integral jacuzzi (robes and slippers provided). Sauna and steam was just ok and there was no aroma in the aroma steam room - pity - perhaps we should have asked?
Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beware that you will not be allowed to use the pool/spa after you check out unless you pay 40 lev (20 Euro) per person. So if you decide to ski on your last day you will not be able to have a shower and change for free which is quite extraordinary and doesn’t not happen in the Alps resorts. When we spoke to the management they simply said it was the hotel policy, they were not interested in what we thought about it. Agree with other reviewers who mentioned lack of basic customer service skills. I would say avoid this hotel if you can.

The hotel is rather a 2 star. The food is awful, both dinner and breakfast, they recycle old food in soups, it is by far the worst food I’ve ever had. The rooms are dated, old cheap furniture, minibar empty, not enough toilet paper, old rugs. We stayed more than 16 h without a toilet as it broke up one evening and they fixed it the second day, accusing me of the damage, they did not changed the room even if we were with 2 small kids more as a punishment ( half of the hotel was empty) . There is no bartender, they’re always outside smoking. The reception can’t help with anything and are very rude, the minibus is an old reconverted van, the kids room is a cold place with some old toys and a few tables. The heatimg is done only by AC, which works only on max heat or no heat, the air is very dry and unpleasent becouse of that. The restaurant is in a basement and the temperature in the room is 30 C. There are zero activites to be done outside during the winter, there’s no place to stay or play with the kids, they have a yard but the snow was 1,5 m there, they never make paths, same with the parking which is on the side of the road and full of snow. The TV has 5 working channels only in bulgarian.

Yes, there is a fitness in the hotel - you can check on the web site here: radinasway com - spa-wellness for some photos.
Hey there, there is no change service on reception, you have to check in resort centre.
There are shampoo and soaps in all bathrooms
In Bulgaria you can pay only in lev, but you if you have euro or dollar, there are exchange offices and banks where you can make the change.
I was in Borovets yesterday and there had alot of snow (not only on the slopes, but in the town as well). Nobody can predict the weather, but in February and the beginning of March there is usually enough snow to ski.
I think there is no rental ski shop near the hotel (neither the hotel rents ski equipment), but next to the main lift (in the center), there are pleanty of. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend any, because I have never rented ski.
Radina's Way Hotel operates a minibus shuttle to the slopes and main area of Borovets (bars, restaurants etc). The shuttle finishes around 6pm (from memory), but cabs are around 10Lev (approx £5), the hotel are happy to call cabs for you and there is a cab rank next to where the shuttle would drop you off - in December, when I was there, there were plentiful cabs around. The Rila can't be beaten in terms of proximity though, in my opinion.
