Located a few steps from the sea, beach, castle, restaurants. Large, beautiful, clean rooms; large balconies where you can see the sea (even though I did not have the sea view room, although I think there are no such rooms because of the hotel being built in front); careful staff; free parking right in front of the hotel. A few things could be improved:a curtain shower in the rooms without cabin (because the water is everywhere), a hanger in the room would be useful.
Nice Hotel, clean, friendly staff, breakfast passable but English Breakfast not as it says. Sea View Room great but NOT if elderly which I think they should state as no lift 4 floors up very hard going with bad legs. No tea/coffee in room although in Reception which is not handy if your 4 flights up. But in saying all this a pleasant stay.
The location of the hotel is excellent, but you can hear all the guests...not only the people, even pleople taking a shower...i used to be a sea view hotel, but a new hotel is being build few meters away. The room was ok.
Perfect location, just in front of the beach and walking district of Balchik. Very close to beach bars and restaurants. Good breakfast and cool staff. Everything you need for your vacation with friends.
The hotel is located very close to the beach, beach bars and the walking alley. You will be close to the restaraunts, bars and attraction There is small beach to the hotel. Also we were able to find parking near the hotel every time, we tried. The rooms were cleaned, although the sheets were changed just once in our 6 days stay. The personnel was very friendly and helpful.
Located on Samara street, just near walking lane along Black See side. Small but beatiful, clean and nice rooms. Classic bathroom, nothing special but clean. Wonderful staff, thank you! No restaurant here and no breakfast available. No elevator 😕 but this is good for sport. You can see the see from front and side rooms (located on South, East and West side). Quiet place, a hotel to stay for few days to enjoy Balchik attractions! Enjoy!
Pros: - close to the beach, literally 2 minutes - right in the middle of the terraces and restaurants area - awesome view of the harbour (there were hotels with slightly better view of the harbour but much more expensive) - clean rooms, very nice bathroom, large, clean Cons: - we were located on the 3rd floor, no elevator, it's a bit of a workout, especially if with children and lots of baggage elderly persons - the tv was a joke, i think it was a 1990 model, not important for many people but just saying That being said, regarding the "beaches" of Balchick, they are hilarious. The one close to Valeo hotel could accommodate maybe 100 persons and the other one about 500m from the hotel, near the botanical garden could accommodate about 140 but this second one does not have direct contact with the water, you have to get down on some rock steps to get to the water. Not appealing at all, considering beaches on the Romanian seaside in comparison. Food ok, nothing spectacular, but expensive for Bulgaria.…
We booked via a very well known booking site after reading the hotel description..... next to botanical garden, located right on the coastal Street and a few steps from the main town. The hotel listing on here also mentions a swimming pool which was top of our list given 2 teenagers were part of our party. Town and botanical gardens are each 1.5k from the hotel up hill and in different directions and no sight of a swimming pool! Upon seeing a billboard of the hotel in the street showing a fabulous roof top terrace with jacuzzi and sun loungers we were notified by the hotel reception that it wasn't working..... we booked and paid in full in April so would have expected an email notifying us if some facilities were out of use during our stay. The hotel is not on the coastal Street either, it's about 200 yards from the promenade and behind some other apartments. We did have rooms on the 2nd floor so could just about see the sea! That said, the rooms were ok, clean but a bit tired now with the edging straps of most of the furniture falling off but the fridge was a welcome suprise. Breakfast is offered but not included so cost 10 lev for adults and 5 lev for children and was good value for money. Yes the Wi-Fi was free but very patchy, unreliable, best signal was in the reception or corridors outside the room, not in the hotel rooms themselves. Parking was also a bit of an issue as the free on street parking was very limited and also used by people visiting the beach. Finally, when notifying reception of accidentally breaking a cheap glass vase with dusty pot-pourri wedged between the TV and wall, which neither added to the aesthetics of the hotel room nor was in our other hotel room, and being told to pay 10 lev was an insult. This was waived however when the receptionist rang the hotel owners to tell them I would be highlighting the discrepancies of their online listing with hotel booking sites. Balchik is the most expensive resort I have been too in Bulgaria, and I've been to several over the last 3 years. The beach was tiny, littered with cigarette butts and the charge for beds and umbrellas was ridiculous - 7 lev each whereas charges at another local beach in Kavarna which was much, much bigger and cleaner were only 2 lev each.…
Wonderful hotel. Always nice to go back there. There are unique paintings in each room. Sea view room. The street on which the hotel is located is quiet and there are not many places parkirane. No this is not a big problem, because it can disclose their tsenstralnata of the street. Very peaceful place. Good choice of breakfast. Friendly staff.
We traveled to this hotel back in mid August for a relaxing weekend getaway. We found it to be a nice surprise. It is located 20m away from the main street by the see (the promenade) and to a tiny beach. It has no parking of its own but in spite of being high season we managed to find a parking spot quite close to the hotel. Location wise, it is very convenient : close to the main walking street, however placed on a quiet street. We actually got the room on the ground floor and were afraid we won't sleep at all, but to our (pleasant) surprise we had no troubles enjoying a good sleep. We even had the windows open during the night (and I have a very light sleep). Since we were there only for the weekend, we didn't get the chance to go up on the roof to see the terrace. We don't usually take breakfast in the mornings, so since it wasn't included in the price of the room we had only coffee which was offered on the house. The room is furnished quiet basic, but clean and spacious. It has AC which in the middle of Aug is very welcomed. The bathroom is spacious as well - with walk in shower. The toilet was funnily placed near the sink though - not a lot of room in between, but a small inconvenient. Our friends' room which was facing the building on the side was bigger than ours. The only disadvantage to highlight, and ideally an area for improvement that hotel management would like to look into, is the absence of a mini fridge in the room. Both of the rooms were missing it. We were all day gone from the room and didn't feel a burning need for a fridge, but if staying more than 2 days you start missing it. Small note on the beach: traditionally people aren't going to sun bathe in Balchik, but a few beaches were artificially built to welcome those that want to. So just as you go down the hotel's street there's a tiny beach with sun lounges or only umbrellas, and even a free area. The umbrella is 7lv/day. We were there roughly around 10AM and were lucky to find 2 umbrellas one next to the other. Most of the beaches on the promenade are a bit challenging to go in the water, but this one has a smooth path (and its exactly near the water whereas the others aren't as you have to cross the street). A shower and a changing shed are also available on this tiny beach. A restaurant across the street and a bar on the beach offer refreshments or lunch at good prices.…
