Detailed Reviews
We had launch on the terrace and the food was really tasty, but the hygiene wasn’t at the same level. We asked for salt and they gave us twice these dirty and sticky salt holders ... There should be an authority to check these especially now in the pandemic environment. Be careful guys and stay safe!

Lovely food and a wonderful service from Nikola Kolev. We travelled from Dobrich specifically to go to Regina Maria for my mother in law's birthday party. They happily hosted the 5 of us and our small dog on the outside balcony restaurant, positioned just above the beach, from where we enjoyed a lovely sunset view.
We can't recommend Regina Maria enough.

Stayed here with three friends on a golf trip. We had previously stayed here 6 years ago and I'm pleased to say that the hotel was, if anything, even better this time. The rooms were clean and the staff (especially the ladies on reception) were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location - right on the sea with every room having a sea view - is stunning and, while it is a 15-20 minute stroll into Balchik centre, it is a pleasant walk on a pedestrian walkway by the sea. And, if you don't like the walk then the hotel restaurant is very good itself!

It was not a very good experience. The staff is very friendly, every member of it…but…the rooms were dirty. The AC in the room was broken so it was very cold there. At the restaurant we ordered fish eggs and we received them with bread which had mold.

This is my favorite resort in Bulgaria. Visited many times and any time of the year, never disappoints. Beautiful walks by the sea, relaxing sound of the waves in every room and sea air helps you sleep like a baby. Friendly and resourceful hotel staff make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Excellent spa! Try the Bulgarian rose ritual, absolutely divine 🤩

Me and my boyfriend went to get a back massage from Spa Regina Maria and the guy that massaged us was very professional. The experience was very relaxing and I felt great afterwards. I will return for sure with the first ocasion!
Thank you very much!

4 stars? For what ? Dirty room, full of insects, wallpaper coming off the walls, dirty and overused bad sheets, crapy stuff talking like they would be doing things for free … we have asked for coffee in the room at 8 am and they said they cannot bring it as it is too early for them…. stay away from this mess of a hotel, it is horrible !!! Do not stay here !!!!

Do not be fooled by numerous positive reviews - this is so far from a four-star hotel. At close to $100 per room, this is far from a "2-star" price in Bulgaria, too! In fact, you're being ripped-off.
Everything about this hotel spells cheap. It's a hoax; It's laughable, even. Where do I start... It's not particularly clean. The "flat screen TV" is some non-brand, the size of a computer screen. But most importantly, there's the mattress! That probably cost 20 lev... It was impossible for my husband and I to sleep there together, since every time he moved slightly, the bed shook. We had to ask for an extra bed where one of us slept. What else,.. there was no hot water sometime in the mornings! And the water pressure extremely low...
But what topped everything, was a surreal incident we had. One night, my husband and I raised our voices. Not very nice of us, surely; but somehow the terrace next door did not look like the terrace of a room to me (it was a weird shape, and I thought it was probably office...) - and therefore I allowed myself to speak louder. So, at one point, while sitting on the terrace and talking, I was shocked by a flashlight directed to my eyes, and I saw the eyes of what seemed a mad person. We got the point. The next day, we sat on the balcony without even speaking. Even so, there was a knock on our door that sounded like a break-in. Too scared to open, I sent my husband. At the door, was our neighbour - a Russian - with a wood log (!). He said he'd beat us if we spoke loud again. Surely, I said, no need to try and scare us, and your Russian ways don't work with us. I sincerely apologized about the first night's disturbance, and asked whether anything was now being heard from our room or balcony. No, he said, but if you ever raise your voices, I'm here to warn you just in case. I am friends with the owner, he added. He quoted our names he was obviously given at reception...
Romantic this hotel isn't, nor is it luxurious. The canopy bed with extra-cheap mattress was particularly funny. And, for romance and a sense of real luxury, do rent a villa next door, in the genuinely unique 'Palace'... not only you'll have space and complete PRIVACY, but you'll also be able to endlessly stroll in the Garden and suck in the atmosphere of the whole architecture-and-park complex, still heavily haunted by the spirit of Maria.
The only good point I can note about Regina Maria hotel, are the sunbeds right above the sea water; although there isn't much privacy there, either (all too close to one another). Not to mention the rust and unusable steps to the sea... I do hope nobody gets hurt there!!

Hotel is nice and the Spa ia great. Unfortunatelly the rudness of the personel cannot compensate this. They tend to become "friends" with the clients and then they are asking for different tips and making different jokes.

I payed with a credit card just for the room but i believe you can pay for your spa and restaurant as well.
Hi! Depend how old is your children. Mine are very thanksfull about indoor pool, restaurant meniu. They have 9 and 15 years. There is a playground but nothing special. If you come there with little Child it will be not very relaxant for you. In rest you have a very nice rooms, luxury, a special vine with Black Sea at 10 metres from your room.
