Like the hotel. Old school. Great service. Have been staying here during my trips to Brazil. Good location for business around Paulista Avenue. Sad to hear that Sadrac, the bartender, is leaving to a competitor. He really brought smiles and life to the lobby area. Wish him all the best in the next chapter.

We had a club room; it was a lovely suite. The bathroom was very spacious. The suite was clean and well-maintained. Our flight arrived at 7:30 AM, so we needed an early check-in. We were very happy to find our room ready when we arrived. The Club lounge was nice, especially the happy hour: the young ladies working there made wonderful cocktails! There was a great variety of food, too. The staff was helpful; the concierge arranged for our very early pickup to get to GRU by 5:30 AM. Taxi arrived early, which we appreciated. Elevators are fast, too! We thought the hotel was quite well kept up, and we look forward to another overnight there next week, on our return from the Pantanal!

I can't fault the staff, they were friendly, well mannered and really tried to be helpful, however the hotel is showing its age and really needs a bit of a spruce up or overhaul. The bed was OK, the bathroom very dated with little air circulation or evacuation of steam. The shower leaked and water pressure was not the best. Signs of wear and tear are everywhere and I suppose I am a bit sad as I tend to stay at Intercontinentals all over the world as my first preference. We stayed here on the inbound lap of our trip and tried Hilton on the way out, that was a much better quality and made it the difference between the two hotels all the more obvious

Stayed 2 nights as a Diamond member. Used 2 free IHG nights before expiration at end of the year. Got upgraded to a King suite but it was only to the 4th floor. No access to lounge. PROS: Clean and comfortable room and bed; many different pillows; great Toto toilets; strong slower water pressure; great variety at breakfast (free for Diamond member) with amazing fruits, perfect location at the middle of Avenida Paulista a block or two from the metro, friendly and helpful staff. CONS: Did not have soap in room so had to call to obtain some; the gym is big in the basement but filled with young people (it’s likely a membership gym); the outdoor pool on 3rd floor is really small. Overall, excellent hotel in excellent location. Would stay here again if in São Paulo.

This hotel located in a area with lots of fun things to do. Hotel had Clean rooms. The breakfast had a variety of fruits. Options for vegetarians and non vegetarians. Stayed for 10 nights on a business trip. All around excellent service. Renata, the Concierge is the best in the business. Breakfast staff are attentive, same with front desk staff. Secure location and security staff on site. Room was comfortable and had everything needed for the stay. Having the balcony was good to step outside in the early morning and late evening. Large and well equipped gym area. Breakfast is an array of everything you can want - fruit, breads, meats, sweets and the list goes on. Close to an array of restaurants, shops on Avenue Paulista, etc. Great stay.

Don't expect a stunning interior as it is a bit dated and worn out. The bed is great, as per usual in IHG properties. The hotel is in need of some TLC. We found our room to be clean. Breakfast is nothing special and a bit disappointing considering the rates. The big plus is the location.

The Intercontinental São Paulo looked quite imposing when we arrived with its fountain and distinctive sculptures at the entrance to hotel. We had a nice welcome and we were recognised as Spire Ambassador Members and given a rundown of the facilities available and advised that the Club Lounge was not available due to Covid-19 restrictions. We were upgraded from the Suite we has originally booked to a Paulista Suite. The suite was extremely spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable 3 day stay. One good feature was the large working desk which I found useful during the stay. The bathroom was absolutely fine with a powerful shower, bathtub and a good selection of toiletries. Breakfast was excellent with a varied selection of items and the staff members were very attentive. A mention must be given to Cedric the bartender who made us most welcome during our time at the hotel, he was extremely personable and engaged with everyone whenever they passed through the bar area, he is a huge credit to the hotel. We had a very enjoyable stay at Intercontinental São Paulo, it is a five minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Avenida Paulista yet is in a quiet location. Hopefully we will be able to stay again on a future visit to the city.…
