Excellent location. Hotel is good. Staff is very impolite and not trained. Will never come back. Being part of Accor Group I expected better. Had problems with room Noise, staff acted horribly about it. General manager didn’t even care to hear about it.
The one thing about this hotel is that you get what you pay, staff at the restaurant and bar are excellent, front seat need some training in the way they handle issues. Housekeeping is very good. I will highly recommend this property. Only two blocks from main shopping area. Be back soon.
Stayed there for a couple nights. Staff was very attentive, both at the reception and the restaurant. Good location for people who want to go shopping and dine in the best restaurants in town. We arrived an hour before check in time and, because the room wasn't available, reception kept our bags. The receptionist didn't seem to want to do our paperwork, she insisted on doing it later, but another staff member stepped in and completed the process. We just wanted to get it over with so we could come back and go straight to the room (which happened). There was no bellmen to assist us with our 5 pieces of luggage, which is weird for a hotel like this. We kept the DND sign at all times, so I cannot say much about housekeeping (besides that they forgot to take out the previous guest's dirty shower cap from the bathroom). We were allocated to 1069, on the 6th floor, right across from the elevator. We couldn't hear anything- no outside noises like traffic, nor the elevator or other guests. The room was spacious, and the only complaints I have are the blackout curtains that wouldn't close all the way, and the lack of plugs. I had to unplug one of the lamps across from the bed, near the tv/desk to charge my phone. There was no USB port whatsoever. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. The best part was for sure the fresh pães de queijo! This was my second time in Sao Paulo staying at the Mercure, but I would not recommend Jardins. Next time I will stay in a different Mercure, as I did the first time, hoping the room facilities would be better. …
This hotel is in a good location in a bustling area of downtown São Paulo — on renowned Rua Augusta. It has a lovely modern entrance and the rooms are sleek, modern and very clean. The staff could be friendlier though. I arrived at 3AM on January 3 and the doorman sitting outside the hotel didn’t acknowledge me much less help me with my three pieces of luggage. In general the personnel working behind the desk was not friendly — mostly looking that the computer screen while talking to guests whenever I had to ask them any questions during my stay. Barely no eye contact. However, the reception clerk that greeted me that early morning did permit a 2:00PM check out time which I greatly appreciated. If it wasn’t for that I would have given the hotel only three stars
We stayed here in December for our quick 1 night stop over in Sao Paulo. The location of the hotel was ideal, as we only checked in at 10pm and still needed to eat dinner. There are many restaurants located in walking distance to the hotel and the front office staff were helpful in giving recommendations. The room was spacious and modern, with wooden floors and good cupboard space. The bathroom was just as comfortable, with a good shower. We had a great nights sleep and were relaxed and refreshed the following morning. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on it, The hotel is in walking distance to Paulista avenue, which was our Sunday planned activity. I would stay at this hotel on a future visit....
