this was our third stay at the Fasano. Location is great and overall the hotel is one of the few top end hotels in the city. I stayed here for the first time about 3 years ago and twice recently. The rooms - while nice - need a bit of refreshing. Starting to look a bit tired. Staff is professional and the room service menu is quite good. Breakfast is also great. The only thing is that the hotel does not exude a warm welcoming feeling. Feels very business like/corporate. It's our second choice in SP.
Impeccable hotel room, food and service. Staff very friendly, going above and beyond on a number of occasions. Modern facilities, great location, luxury experience, amazing bathrooms, gym, pool, restaurant and supportThank you very much!
Very good impression by the central location, rooms, respective views and space, overall cleanness and friendliness of the english-speaking staff. Nice pool-area on the higher floors with sauna and very private atmosphere. Fantastic was the restaurant on the 1st floor, highly recommended! Very comfortable lobby and respective lobby-bar.
Oh I miss Emiliano Arrived at 1505 at the much-needed-to-be-updated Fasano in São Paulo when I was told that the room was not ready. Checking as per the reservation at 1500. The lady offered me to wait at the lobby and whether I wanted a cupons coffee. 23 minutes later the coffee arrived - cold. Shortly after that I learned that the room would only be ready bu 1600. Completely outrageous given the extorsivo rates this more than oldfashioned and outdated hotel charges. Oh I miss Emiliano.
This is the epitome of the uber chic, cool urban hotel. It rarely gets better than this. The service is impeccable all round, the two restaurants are world class and Baretto late at night with its jazz music is unbeatable. Weekend nights the bar at the entrance lobby gets full of beautiful people. The rooms are not the most luxurious ones out there but funny enough you don't want to leave ever. They are immaculately cool and comfortable. Now with Covid you get to reserve the entire pool/sauna floor just for yourself - sublime!
Room has a smart and comfortable configuration, but bathrooms really need renovation - very old looking, not for a 5 star hotel. Not all staff speaks English, which is complicated for communication. Concierges were not helpful at all - they even could not book a simple restaurant and my assistant from Moscow (from other part of the world!) did it easily. Also, I think the hotel needs normal slippers - not rubber "havaianas" ... Very uncomfortable... And the last thing: I never met a Nespresso machines in a room with the coffee capsules you need to pay for. In all hotels I stayed all over the world, if the room has a Nespresso machine - coffee is complimentary.... I was shocked to realise capsules are for money and quite expansive....
Stayed for 4 nights for business and absolutely loved it! Great location in SP- safe and fun neighborhood. The hotel itself is spectacular. The rooms were so awesome and well appointed. The service was great and restaurants perfect.
Service from check in to check out was impeccable. Our Deluxe Room was spacious, perfectly appointed, beautifully furnished / decorated and comfortable. Good lobby bar (perfect gin martini). Baretto great fun (live music) and great drinks into the early hours. Breakfast served on 1st floor terrace excellent. The hotel is well located, surrounded by lovely shops, bars, restaurants, and for exploring Sâo Paulo - metro a short walk away, uber and taxi easily available and reasonably priced. I loved São Paulo and would love to return. If I do I will be staying here.
Fasano I work for a fortune 500 company and am often sent to inspect and conduct unpublished performance reviews (for internal use only) at the hotels my company offers exclusive benefits to for our clients. This is the first review I have published outside of my contract work, as I feel other travelers and not just my company should be aware of the experience I had. I was recently sent to São Paulo to follow up on four hotels we conduct business with. Of all four hotels I will be visiting, I was most excited to visit the Fasano. Even though I only spent one night here, I was beyond disappointed with the overall service and amenities the hotel advertises it specializes in. May it be known this review is not the same as the undisclosed review I completed for my company, as per my contract work, those reviews are strictly confidential. One perk the hotel failed to follow through on, though is rather unimportant for myself as I was only staying one night is offered is room upgrades upon availability; the hotel stated there was no availability for upgrades (though upon inspecting the hotel’s website for the same night, a room that was within the prescribed 1-category room upgrade was indeed available). It should also be noted that I booked a car transfer service through the hotel for 1575 brazilian real in a Mercedes C class from the airport (GRU). Though I knew beforehand this was an absurd price as my company also has contracted drivers in armored mercedes vehicles for roughly 600 brazilian reals, I figured this would be an important aspect in my review for the concierge services review section of my inspection. Given the price, I expected for the entire pickup experience to be completely seamless. None of this happened and after a roughly 20 minute wait in the summer heat, my car arrived—although to my surprise, it was not the car I had ordered or requested from the concierge I had email correspondence with, Georgia. The hotel, which I presume thought I would be an unwittingly confused tourist, tried to assure me after I followed up with my displeasure that it was in fact an upgrade; given my experience traveling for a living, I know when something is an upgrade and this was in fact a downgrade to a BMW 3 series (completely unacceptable). Furthermore the fitness and spa area is rather dated, though I enjoyed the treatment I received, given it was almost free as I received spa credit upon arrival. I will follow up with this review, following my stays at three other hotels and their experience relative to this stay in São Paulo. …
Stayed here on a business trip. Warm welcome and very helpful front staff. Room was huge and pristine. Nice touches such as fruit basket and truffle chocolates were very welcomed after a long flight.. I hope to visit again soon.
