Unless you need to save money, I would not recommend this hotel. The location is not good, you can't find any nice restaurant open, after 07:00 PM, nearby. The area seems very popular for street vendors, It's really noisy and the hotel windows are not sound proof. The breakfast is poor, don't expect to find basic options like skimmed milk, fresh juices or whole wheat bread... The furniture and curtains are old. The good things are: nice mattress, free wi-fi, it's clean, cheap and it has a very frendly staff. I think it's worth staying in a better hotel because the city is plenty of cabs and they are not so expensive as in Sao Paulo. More

The Hotel is located right in the center of Porto Alegre - which is a good thing in general, but not in this case.

There are just regular windows in the guestrooms (soundproof windows would be needed) and here you have the big problem: Day and night there is a terrible noise which makes it very hard to sleep, even with earplugs.

Dirungs the day, where are peoble in the street trying to sell things by promoting their goods by loud shouting. The worst was a middleaged lady shouting every two seconds "Compro ouro" (I buy gold) but very very loud and nonstop, it can drive you crazy.

I talked to the guy at athe reception - who was by the way very friendly- and he told me that the hotel already tried to solve this problem by calling the police. The shouting slesman had been sent away, but when the police dissapeared they come back within five minutes.

At night it is even worse. Crowds of young guys are strolling through the streets constantly...
