Our stay was more than we would ever expect! This place is an absolute jewel! Beyond luxurious, starting with the details of the whole interior, the experience from arrival until checkout is absolute flawless, professional and welcoming. We couldn’t ask for more, Luca and Roberto were the best hosts (just to mention a few) but a big well done to all the staff! My wife wanted to do something special for my birthday, so she decided we should go to Brazil for a week. We've had some trying times the past couple of years. We made a conscious decision to live in the moments as much as we can. Since it was our first time in Brazil, we researched so we could enjoy the best Brazil had to offer. We finally decided to go to a small city called Gramado in the Rio Grande do Sul. The reviews do not prepare you for the type of service you receive from the staff. It is exceptional. Further, if you're visiting this location, you must schedule a day to capture your memories with a photo shoot. It will be tricky because it's a public place, but its beauty parallels dream destinations. We visited Gramado for a week during May. You can expect low humidity and pleasant weather during this time. The streets are not too busy but busy enough to keep you intrigued. If you’re not looking to lay in the sun and spend the day at the beach, this is the best place and time to visit in Brazil. My trip was a time to luxuriate and relax while doing so. Hotel Colline de France is 2 hours from the Porto Alegre International Airport. If you're coming off a long flight, I recommend ground transportation. It cost us approx. $90.00 each way. We stayed in the Imperial Noir. This suite is on the very top floor. The décor is exquisite; My wife requested rose petals, champagne, and sweets. Once settled, you may want to rent a vehicle to move around freely. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes from the attractions and shopping district. My goal in Gramado Brazil was to celebrate an extravagant birthday. While doing so, I accomplished that and more. I surprised my wife of 14 years wife with a proposal in the garden. After months of planning and coordinating, I ask my wife to marry me again. I couldn’t have done it in a better place. Hotel Colline de France staff is Sincere and caring. It's easy to see from photos how beautiful this hotel is, and the reality is even more impactful. What set this hotel apart for us was the outstanding service that we received throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived to when we left, the staff were incredibly attentive, even offering to pick us up after we took the (free) bicycles for a trip and it started to rain. I can't imagine ever getting close to the same treatment at another hotel. Marcio, Joao, and the whole team get a huge thank you from us for the wonderful experience they gave us.
One of the best experiences we’ve had at a hotel before. The venue is amazing, extremely beautiful and unique. The cherry on the top though it is the service. Great staff, everyone so kind, helpful and thoughtful. Going above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. Luca was amazing, as well as Debora and Weiner. Do not miss the opportunity of dining at the bistro, amazing meal. Don’t miss the Carolina for dessert! Thanks to all for such an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back!
Had a chance to stay in big hotel chains like Lao Lao, Savoy, Four Seasons among others. All need to learn from Colline what great service means. Staff, concierge, food, ambiance provide a unique experience. The sense of proudness from staff reflects direct on customer experience. It's one of the best in the world.
That's because it's not finished yet, lacking some details like the pool, exclusive elevator for service and escape route maps in the rooms. But the quality of the staff, the professionalism of the staff and the concern for the well-being of our guests is really unmatched by any other hotel we've been to. In addition to the beauty of the place, sensational decor and a memorable breakfast. Another small drawback is the size of the bathroom, which is incompatible with a 5 star rating. But Luca's friendliness (almost a personal butler) or the highly professional service of Marcio and his colleagues, plus the romantic charm of the place, are perfect for a wedding anniversary celebration, which was our case.
We stayed at the Colline de France from April 14-18. We went there for a family trip and birthday celebration. We could not have picked a better hotel to stay at. The staff is amazing! Their attention to detail and care goes above and beyond! They treat you like royalty, no matter who you are! The staff works so hard all the time, I swear they don’t sleep! They are always there working! The imperial suite is amazing and so are the majestic rooms. If you want to indulge yourself, go for Imperial! Each night they will deliver hot tea (tea flavor changes daily) in your room with some sweet treats! We did have an issue with one of our rooms (we had 2 majestic rooms and 1 Imperial), but management took care of it right away, and fixed all the issues. They are amazing! Marcio, the manager, is the star of the hotel! He goes above and beyond to take care of all The guests. He’s truly the star of that hotel! He never stops or sleeps! He makes sure the guests are having a wonderful time! He will try his best to accommodate and treat you like royalty! No distinction! You can tell how much he cares by seeing his hard work and teamwork with the staff! He truly is impressive! He makes you feel like you are his family or close friend! He also speaks English! The ladies, too, were so nice and kind to our kids! They are so sweet! They brought them breakfast at the room every morning with a kind smile! The kids love them! A big THANK YOU for the cleaning staff! The ladies who clean the rooms do an amazing job! They also spray the beds to make sure no covid gets through! Every staff member is so friendly, polite, and wears a smile on their face no matter what issue they encounter!! From night to day, you will find someone at the front desk ready to help you! They are truly wonderful handsome boys and beautiful girls, charming and friendly! Do schedule dinner at the hotel, the food is delicious! We had a birthday dinner that was great! Try their mojito! Breakfast is served at the table and changes daily. The fruit and juice are delicious and sweet! Note: hotel is 220volt! So ask for a converter at the front desk and plug adapter! Some American plugs will need them! Wi-Fi was very good! Rooms are very clean, fireplace is nice, it’s to add romance into the room. It doesn’t really warm it up. Whether you are there on honeymoon or family vacation, you will fall in love with the hotel and its staff! It’s a very nice hotel, but what truly makes it special is not the expensive decor, it’s their staff! It’s their 5 star service and how they treat you! You will love each one of them because they truly are amazing! We will go back and stay there again If they have the same staff! Great staff with kind and amazing personality! …
