The room was nice, cool and clean. Also liked having a refrigerator, when we are on a road trip. We settled but we’re disappointed that we arrived on a day when the dining room was closed. However we found somewhere else to get a bite and came back to the little shop, bought some local cold brews and sat on one of the 2 person swings out back, enjoying the view, the breeze and watching the moon come up. Very relaxing after having been in the car as long as we were that day. Breakfast the next morning was in the dining room but reserved signs were on all the tables and even an hour after being open for breakfast, most of the lights were still off. The selection was limited to prepackaged pastry and bagels, coffee and juice, and just a couple other items. It was enough to drive off and not feel empty but even understanding COVID concerns, was not very welcoming. The grounds are beautifully kept up and there are tennis courts, pool and I think a sauna. It’s not likely that we will be in that area again soon but we would probably stay again, after checking on the status of amenities, esp the dining room and breakfast service issues.…
Location is spectacular. Room was decent size. Personable with amazing food. Recommend reservation. A tourist bus pulled in and they had no space for my family to eat but they were accommodating to go. Gave only 3 stars because we didn’t have a shower curtain and there was no fridge in the room. That’s a huge deal for a family. They did provide an extra pillow and blanket, padded carpeting and parking near room, which id a huge plus! Great little place overall. Recommend they add a room fridge!
Pros 1. Nice room. Appeared clean. Two sinks in the room is a nice feature. 2. Quiet. 3. Nice exterior property/landscaping. 4. Liquor store on property. 5. On-site restaurant is amazing, albeit very expensive. Cons 1. I did find a dead cockroach in the bathroom. Ick. 2. Coffee maker in lobby wasn't working consistently and should be replaced. 3. No elevators (ask for a bottom floor if you can't' do steps). 4. Rooms are a bit rundown due to age.
This place is wonderful. It has beautiful mountain scenery and overlooks the Snake River. It is very peaceful and relaxing. It has a very large indoor pool, as large as I have ever seen at a hotel. It also has a hottub and workout room and a tennis court and a cute horseshoe pit. The restaurant is nice and has a beautiful garden like patio. Our room was clean. The front desk helpers were nice. The owner is a photographer and has beautiful photos for sale. We bought two of his 2022 beautiful calendars of the Grand Tetons. It was our favorite hotel in our trip through Glacier, Yellowstone and Arches National Parks. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was very affordable.
Stayed 3 nights, May 23-25, 2021. Room was average. After no maid service the second day we asked and they said they had no help so no maid service (for a 3 night stay). Requested fresh towels, they said they would "try" to put some in room. That night, no towels, had to go and get our own. Only thing they did well was charge, $150/night. No discount when we asked. The restaurant was very good and the service there was great. It will be my last option in the area from now on.
