What a delightful place to stay! It IS right on the banks of the Snake River, and as beautiful as it is relaxing. It was so nice to be away from the madhouse scramble that Jackson Hole has become. The rooms are very comfortable, the beds, the whole atmosphere of the entire resort is calm and pleasant. It was so nice to have a wine store with a good selection, right on the premise. The restaurant, AMAZING! Great service (Nate was our waiter) the food is so good and the clam chowder is probably the BEST I've EVER had!! For a restaurant that's so far inland it sure has wonderful clam chowder. I really haven't had better ever, on either coast. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here!

Hotel's Favorite
This place is wonderful. It has beautiful mountain scenery and overlooks the Snake River. It is very peaceful and relaxing. It has a very large indoor pool, as large as I have ever seen at a hotel. It also has a hottub and workout room and a tennis court and a cute horseshoe pit. The restaurant is nice and has a beautiful garden like patio. Our room was clean. The front desk helpers were nice. The owner is a photographer and has beautiful photos for sale. We bought two of his 2022 beautiful calendars of the Grand Tetons. It was our favorite hotel in our trip through Glacier, Yellowstone and Arches National Parks. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was very affordable.

We were on a coach tour and were a bit worried about this particular hotel as it seemed very remote. What a pleasant surprise, the scenery was breathtaking and the room was very comfortable. Yes it was remote but that added to the charm and the staff were wonderful and very welcoming. We had to eat in the hotel,s restaurant but that turned out to be one of the best meals we had on the whole trip. Steve our server was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer as this was one of the nicest hotels of the entire trip.

We recently stayed for a few days at the resort. Two years ago, it was quite nice, however this visit was a disappointment. The a/c unit froze twice and provided very little cooling during the night which did not create a good sleeping environment. The wifi was very spotty and pretty much nonexistent. The mini fridge was very noisy and did not cool effectively (we had to through out a gallon of milk that started to sour. The wait staff in the restaurant clearly has not received any customer service training.

Thank you for your candid review. We are sad to hear that your experience was not up to par. We would have gladly upgraded you to another room if we would have known about the issues you experienced. Shocking to hear that our restaurant staff did not meet your expectations either. They are, for the most part, locals who very much enjoy going above and beyond for our guests. Our goal is to ensure a wonderful experience and we apologize that was not your experience.

Nothing negative to say about the hotel except it is located in a remote area with not much to do. If you're looking for a little more action you should definitely consider Jackson Hole. And that's what we did. One night in Alpine and then one night in Jackson.

This resort is a quiet cute little get away. With beautiful views of the mountains and the river. It is gets you out of the hustle and bustle of Jackson Hole but still close enough to make a day trip of it. The rooms were very clean and nice. Matthew and Vaerie provided the best service and were so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for a stay.

The staff could not be any friendlier or accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is extremely clean plus the hotel is located 30 mins from Jackson and you cannot beat their prices. The restaurant/bar has great steaks and the hotel also offers laundry facilities, fitness room, indoor pool and spa. I would definitely recommend the Flying Saddle to anyone traveling to Star Valley/ Jackson Hole area.
