We had a wonderful fly fishing experience with Rob yesterday. It was our first time trying this out and the experience wss perfect! Rob was an excellent instructor and very patient with us during our time on the river. Caught 6 fish between us, loved the beautiful scenery and enjoyed our time with Rob. We will definitely be looking to do some more fly fishing along the way. We highly recommend Rockin' M Outfitters if you are looking for a great fly fishing experience!

Post-COVID trip... when places are opening back up .... June 2020 Very clean, clean, clean and quiet. Enjoyed our stay at the ranch. Rob was very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Great food selection “Dad’s”. The sound of the Salt River at night was soothing. The views of the stars were amazing and fun to fish in the pond. Can’t wait to go out on the fly fishing trip next year.

Enjoyed the 4 hour ride in fantastic weather with beautiful fall colors. Trip included lunch at a picturesque vista point in Idaho overlooking the Salt River valley. Took the option to cross the Salt River which provided a exciting end to our ride. Our guide Blake was was an expert with the horses and provided great information along the ride. He did a wonderful job picking horses for our level of riding experience. I would defiantly come back.

We found ourselves driving past this ranch and because of the”Horseback Tours this way”. We turned around and pulled into the ranch and we were amazed. The pretty scenery, adorable cabins, and very friendly owners. They were more than willing to accommodate our late in the afternoon, unexpected drop in need for a tour on horseback. It was perfect. Start to finish, perfect. Blake was our guide who was cute as a button and very personable. Honestly, he made the trip the best one I’ve ever been on. We may have to go back before we leave this area. Highly recommended! Ask for Blake!!

Our family of four (two daughters 15 and 12, husband, and myself) stayed at the Rockin' M Ranch at the end of June 2019. We had just arrived from camping in Yellowstone and had never been to this part of Wyoming. The ranch was beautiful and the cabin was sturdy, clean, and comfortable! Most of all we enjoyed the 1/2 day trail ride with Blake. The horseback riding at Rockin' M is excellent. It would be hard to imagine a better operation. Our guide Blake was personable, knowledgeable, and ensured a high degree of safety. We even booked another ride a day later because we had so much fun on the 1/2 day ride! Blake worked especially well with my children and was an encouraging presence. My youngest daughter had the most riding experience out of the family and he let her lead the group for a part of the trail. She now wants to work as a trail guide when she grows up! Thanks, Blake for inspiring the next generation of trail guides! From reading the reviews, it seems that some folks from Jackson Hole book rides at Rockin' M Ranch. This is a great idea. The Ranch is outside of Jackson Hole and even a couple of miles outside of Alpine. It is located away from crowds and typical touristy adventure venues found around Jackson Hole. We found it to be an authentic experience, led by guides with personality and knowledge. The horses were well cared for too. I highly recommend staying at the Ranch! It is right there next to the horses and has fishing, a nice hot tub, a full kitchen, and comfortable beds. Don't want to cook for a night? You can always grab dinner in Alpine at the Mavin Brewery which has a beautiful lake view, good drinks, and high-quality food choices. I can't imagine anything that could have been included that would have made this place better! Coming back next summer for sure.
