The staff went out of there way to make you feel comfortable. Something you do not see a ot these days. Special thaks to Jos, Cleiton, Mateus and Bruno as they made our stay unforgettable. The rooms were nice, especially the view from the suite. The staff even showed us what we could do in and around the hotel and even took us to Pedra do Telegrafo (a fantastic and must-do hike) and Grumari beach.

Simply put : we felt like KINGS ! Cleyton went out of his way to make us feel welcome, and we did. I was actually really sad to leave after only one night. The breakfast is more like a brunch, come hungry ! He also makes the best lemonade EVER. I already miss it. Five star service, without the price tag.

This place was amazing. My wife had booked this hotel as it was close by where she had to train for her work. We were traveling from America To Brazil. Trip Advisor had great reviews so we gave it a try as it was only for 1 night. What a night it turned out to be. We turned up on a Monday late afternoon and the place is normally closed on Monday's and Tuesday's so it turned out that we were the only 2 guests. The owners (Cleiton & Jos) went out of there way to make us feel special. They even gave us a ride and dropped us off at the local beach where we had a great time. Then that evening Jos offered to cook for us. We did not realize that Jos was a Michelin star chef until we saw all his accolades / photos of him with some famous people on the walls in the restaurant. He cooked for us what turned out to probably be the best 3 course meal that we have ever had. I cannot give enough praise to how good our experience was at Maison VG. If Cleiton or Jos read this review you guys rocked :-)
