I was there 2 days in 2 different rooms. Very kind people work inside. friendly and competent. Rooms was ok clean with a/c. Only place I don't like was Bathroom. Location in great. Really close to the beach. Many bus and shops around. I could be perfeckt if metro wasn't 2km away:/ It's good to make reservation by internet. Price...

hostel i won't recommend anybody! very dirty. I could not be able to take a shower so the bathroom was dirty!!!!!! Hopefully i have moved to another place so took the shower there! It was mentionned 35 reais a night but when i arrive there they told me 40 because there is a 5 reais up fee for the internet...

I liked it a lot... The people are super nice, the services are really good, the hostel is located two blocks from the street and nearby bars and party places.

I ended up in this hostel 2 weeks ago by mistake, as we were looking for a pousada by someone gave us the wrong direction and it was too late and too dark when we got there. We were given 2 bed in what the call a "superior room" with 6 bunk beds. The bathroom was tiny and the shower...

Nothing really too extraordinary about this hostel. What is a bit concerning is that this hostel is a mini Argentina in Rio de Janeiro. The four nights I was here, I never heard or saw anything intended to promote Brazilian culture (e.g., music, festivals, concerts, food). Everything was about Argentina--including the staff, who were not that friendly or interested to...

My friend and I had booked 2 beds in a 6 female dorm, ensuite with AC with 3 weeks in advance to our arrival in Che Lagarto Copacabana. The first night was already charged in our credit cards. *** DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOSTEL - IT IS VILE AND DIRTY *** *** THERE WERE LIVE INSECTS (BEDBUGS) IN OUR BED! *** My partner and I stayed for two nights in Che Lagarto hostel in Ipanema, it should have been 3 nights but we left a day early after we noticed the tiny creatures living in our bed....

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HOSTEL as great place and great location between main street in Ipanema and about 100 metres from the beach!! 90 Reais for a double room (but was an advance rate) - good size bedroom - clean en suite - AMAZING breakfast (cereal/fruit/bread/cake/tea/coffee) - small chill out tv room - bar a bit pricey (6 Reais for a beer)...
