I must admit location was perfect close to the beach(2 short blocks) and lots of Resturants to choose from. The staff (Mario and all the others at the front desk ) were very helpful in making my stay there very comforting. The buffet was very good with an ideal choice from eggs bacon sausages ceral yougurt fresh fruit, cakes, sandwiches tea coffee juices etc well worth the price included with the room room was very large for one person and very clean (with AC) I was taken back for my first time travelling to Rio (my 65th Birthday) very memorable Thank you Also tours are available at the front desk if your looking for a private tour make sure you ask for ( Joel) not expensive and very attentive he also drives to the airport
This hotel was a bit of of a treat for us after several weeks of travelling. The breakfast was lovely and our room and bathroom was very big and clean. The rooftop pool was really nice with some good views over the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. It's only a short walk to Copacabana beach and there are a number of really nice restaurants and bars nearby.
Reception staff is very helpful, location is right in between everywhere, beautiful clean Beech is a few steps away , room service was great too but unfortunately breakfast was not too good no many options, they have to sort flys out...
Comprehensive Review, Tips Took advantage of low season prices and booked luxury twin room. But as soon as we walked in we noticed strong stale odor, outdated furniture, plumbing fixtures and room looked kind of dark. On a top of it, there was a standing water behind the toilet. Called reception, they send a mate and she took care of it right away, however by the evening it developed again. Called reception again and requested to change the room. Front desk called me next day and offered new room on a last floor. Have to say that staff was very friendly, accommodating and satisfied all my needs during our stay. Location is another plus. Few blocks from the beach, minutes from supermarket, restaurants, laundries, money exchange and everything you may need. Bus stop right across the street. Room service is very good Breakfast was same every day, but always fresh and delicious enough to satisfy any needs. Fresh juices, coffee, fruits, cold and hot dishes… Rooftop has small but lovely pool, chairs with views at Rio and the Christ Redeemer. Great place to relax with can of beer or afternoon cigar. Overall it is a very good place to stay with great location, delicious breakfast, friendly staff and spacious rooms. Deducted one point for outdated furniture, street noise, sounds of running water in the pipes and absence of coffee machine / electric kettle and any utensils. Can’t make cup of tea or coffee in a room. Again, it didn’t affected our vacation because I was prepared for that, thanks to other reviewers. Tips: • Don’t exchange money at the front desk. There is an exchange place one block away as you go towards the beach • Laundry prices are crazy, best bet to use laundry around the corner from the hotel. They charge $R 12 per kg, but be aware that 3 kg is a minimum charge. • Use excursion offered by the hotel. Rates may be slightly higher but more safe, reliable and insured. Took “Rio in One Day” for $R260 offered by the front desk. Company name was Rio 40 Graus Turismo. Excellent and funny guide (Jonathan), comfortable bus, highly recommended. • Use supermarket Mundial for any food, especially for water, fruits and beer.…
