Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.

Incredible setting. Comfortable stay : large rooms and beds. Super quiet. The best views of Rio. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. Like anywhere in Rio, when the sun settles get yourself an Uber/Taxi to and from your hotel.

We really enjoyed staying in Rio Panoramic. It s outside the busy center with an amazing view but not to far to enjoy all benefits from te city. They serve a nice breakfast and give an excellent service. We had some problems finding it and hope they will put a sign to find the

Here is definitely an awesome place to stay in Rio. Santa Teresa is a mostly quiet neighbourhood walked by tourists with some nice places to eat. This hotel has just 3/5 large rooms and the swimming-pool with the views on Pão de azucar are amazing. Enjoy it and the kindness

The location/views are truly panoramic and stunning, but the property suffers from severe issues. First off, Monica, the manager truly does go out of her way to tell you where to go, where to eat, what to see, etc. Great service, and the breakfast is decent, albeit not great.

Response from Isabel J, Director General at Rio Panoramic

Dear guest “anonymous”, We are so sorry to read your review and your personal vision of your stay, experience that the rest of our clients do not share with you. We would like to inform you, as you saw during your stay we are constantly maintaining the house, and it is a hard and meticulous work. In Rio de Janeiro there are strong rains, and sometimes the guests by accident, do not close the windows. When you told us about it, we explained the reason, even we invited you to change the room, but you rejected any type of proposed solution, you only wanted to extend FOR FREE your stay. About the music of the weekend, in Rio de Janeiro, in pre-Carnival time, there is alive music from all sides of the city, it is something usual, if you wanted not listening any music, maybe you don’t chose the correct season for coming to our city. And it is really curious you recommend other guest-house (very nice in my opinion too) only 200 meters from us with the same orientations and the same noise. It is quite strange, isn´t it? As you can read in other guest review, our house is an ideal place to rest. And after 2 months making the anual maintenance, the house is perfect, maybe you shoud come again for checking. After reading your review, I really can not understand why you tried, using different strategies, to extend two more nights with us FOR FREE, if you did not enjoy as the rest of our guest. From here I would like to inform our future guest than it is a pleasure to host people in our house and we really enjoy our work. We do our best for making unforgettable your holidays and we are very proud of the quality of our work. It is a pitty that there are people who use threats to get whatever they want. But we don't work like this. So please, people who try to get free holidays threatening to put a bad review on the internet, is not welcome here. Regards, Isabel

I can’t disagree with all the wonderful reviews but, as a single female traveler, it’s not the easiest place to return to at night. Perhaps ask Monica for some guidance on this, she is very helpful. The neighborhood is different, and has its own unique ambiance, away from the
