We stayed in El Misti Rooms for a few nights. Good points: very good location, close to Copacabana, safe neighborhood. Good wifi, very good A/C and very nice breakfast. Staff very helpful, nice atmosphere, on afternoon happy hours for drinks :)) Bad points: Very limited number of bathrooms, always engaged, even at 4 a.m.and incredibly dirty. I have never stayed...

The hostel is in the Copacabana district. It's quite close to Copacabana beach, also a metro station away from the Ipanema beach (or quite long walk, but Ipanema's better and cleaner). It's not the best hostel if you're looking for a quiet room. There are rather people looking for party, chit-chatting all night in the lobby, so if you're travelling...

Staff here were excellent inparticular Sheena the bartender. We had a private room which was basically just 4 walls and a bed. Not even a window. Still it was okay. Bathroom was shared and when tge dorms were full it was hard to get in. Breakfast was good. Nice coffee!!

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
