Excellent hotel photos do not do it justice! Hotel staff are lovely and helpful and good English compared to the rest of Rio! Great tours too and not any more expensive than outside the hotel! Excellent location too 4 blocks from the beach but then you just get harangued on the beach and the water is too choppy! Recommend staying... More

we've just spent the last 11 nights in this hotel and If you're looking for a place to lay your head for a few hours then this is the place. The location was perfect, opposite a main metro line and minutes from the beach. The room was perfectly cleaned everyday and the mini bar is stocked with good stuff. we... More

Just spent two weeks here over Christmas and New Year and where to start. This hotel is an amazing position. We hired a car, against advice and had no trouble. If you can drive in London you can drive here. The car was valet parked every day in their underground car park. The cost for this and the safe-£8 per... More

This hotel was the most expensive we stayed in on our two week trip to Brazil and, unfortunately, turned out to be the worst. Before we arrived, we contacted the hotel for help in arranging a transfer from the airport. They sent us a one line email saying they didn't do this. Hardly amazing customer service. Then our flight changed... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights the last leg of our Brazil trip. The rooms are decent as they look like they have been remodeled recently except for the bathroom. The bathroom is dated. I would say this hotel is Ok as the hotel breakfast is disgusting. We were served hot dog (hot dog jerky, dried over cooked),... More

I spent 6 nights here and was quite disappointed with my stay. The room that I was given upon check-in seemed like it had been used and not cleaned - the toilet was filthy and when I alerted reception they sent the maid to clean the room rather than offer to move us to another room (we had to wait... From start to finish this stay was supreme! My friend and I were a little weary because we quickly realized that not very many people in Rio spoke English and our Portuguese was not that great. Luckily everyone in the hotel spoke enough English to assist with anything we may have needed during our week long stay. Everyone we encountered... More

Myself and four friends stayed at the Premier Copacabana at the end of our two week tour of Brazil. It was intended to be the best hotel we stayed in as a bit of a treat after a jampacked travel schedule however it ended up being the worst hotel we stayed in. We had two rooms on the third floor,... My girlfriend and I had a very enjoyable stay here and would happily return to stay. The hotel is in a great location directly opposite Siqueria Campos station. Large, clean room. Nice breakfast provided. Pool on the roof which makes for a nice change from the beach or relaxing after a day of hiking. Very reasonable bar prices also!

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
