Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hotel is well located, just a few meters from the beach, on the avenue that divides Leme and Copacabana. The breakfast is well served, with a variety of options, and is renewed every day. The rooms are reasonable (in urgent need of modernization - spots of mold on the bathroom walls, the shower stall needs more lighting, the furniture in the room is old, there is a lot of noise in the bathroom coming from the pipes). But the beds are very comfortable. The service from the staff is excellent, everyone is smiling and friendly. I have always been treated cordially. Congratulations in particular to the receptionist Carlos - who checked us in and out, and explained all the song price conditions at the entrance. Next time I return to RJ, I will probably stay at this hotel again.

We stayed with my husband for four nights. It has a good location. It is a quiet area, we didn't have any problems at night, even though there are many homeless people sleeping on the street and at first it was a little scary. A few meters away is the beach. The comfortable room. It has a small pool on the terrace that we do not use. From there you can have some beautiful views. The attention was always pleasant and the price paid was correct according to the service offered. I highlight the quality and variety of the breakfast.

We are a family of 4. They gave us 2 connecting double rooms that were very spacious. The beds are large and very comfortable. Also the shower. The location is good, on the border between Copacabana and Leme, 2 blocks from the coast and a few minutes walk from Shopping Rio Sul. The breakfast is very abundant. Around the corner there are some very lively bars where you can eat well at a reasonable price.

It is an average stay and does not seem fair to its claim of being 4 star property. The rooms are too shady and uncomfortable. No complementary water bottles and everything is too high chargeable if we use their minibar water. There is no coffee maker. And there is no balcony to use. The breakfast was good on the first day but on some days we felt low quality fruits. The reception too is very slow in handling requests. Location is good as being close to Copacabana beach but there are more nicer properties with beach view available.

While I’m usually not too particular about hotels, this experience was exceptionally disappointing. Although the hotel isn’t terrible, there are far better options available for the price. Upon arrival, I noticed it was situated on a busy street. The check-in process was marred by a rude staff member who seemed bothered by my questions. The room itself had an old, musty smell, lacked proper maintenance, and appeared worn-out. The outdated AC system failed to cool the room effectively. When I raised the issue, the front desk offered only a lower-class room as an alternative. Frustrated, I canceled my reservation and found a better place. If you’re considering this hotel, I recommend looking up the ‘Ritz’ or ‘bossa nova’ instead. On a positive note, breakfast was enjoyable, and not all employees were rude—just the ‘big’ guy at the reception

I stayed in Windsor Plaza, Copacabana hotel from Dec 25th to Dec 30th. I booked 2 twin rooms and expected that each room will allow minimum 2 people to stay. I was told that each room allows only 1 person (although it is a twin room) to stay and i have to pay for extra person in each room. I had to pay approx. USD $200 additional while checking in. I also requested for early check in but they asked me to pay USD$350 for early check in. You have to prepare for all these surprises while checking in. Hotel reception staff was very rude and did not consider even request to check in an hour early. I had to leave and come back at 2pm which is the check in time. I was with family and young kids and had to stay on beach for couple of hours because they asked us to pay $350 for early checkin. My safe lock did not work on 2nd day and they could not fix it. Breakfast items are limited and 95% menu items are repeated every day. I would not recommend to stay in this hotel and look for better options near around. There are lot of other hotels which are much better than this hotel.

We had a room with a musty smell and not very neat! We asked to change hotels within the chain (we had already paid for it) they told us no (despite paying the difference). Except for the boy who received us and carried the suitcases, the rest showed arrogance and ineffectiveness to the maximum extreme. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL, look for the chain's Martinique option or another

The hotel is within walking distance from the beach and the price is decent. The room is pretty basic/standard. The safe in my room did not work and the toilet button also got stuck at flushing; otherwise, the hotel did it job and served it purpose…

Having visited Buenos Aires, Iguazú and stayed in wonderful hotels, we were so looking forward to our 3 nights stay in Rio at this hotel, how disappointed we were. On arrival, check in was fine, staff very pleasant but we had to wait till 3pm as room was not ready, that was fine, we left our cases and headed out. Staff on desk were helpful. Wi-Fi was not too bad.
We returned after 3pm, collected our cases and room key. We got to our room opposite 4 lifts, opened the door and wondered where I was staying. The room was so very basic, little window in the corner, looked out to back of hotel like it was looking opposite at prison cells. There were no hooks to hang our damp coats behind the door. No where to put cases.
There was a wardrobe, a desk, chair, that’s it. I looked online and checked the rooms advertised, they were not anything like shown. I went to reception and told them I was dissatisfied with room and that it was nothing like advertised online. They said it was what the TA booked a basic standard room. I appreciate you only sleep in a room, but at times it’s nice to to a room and sit on sofa, or comfy chair rather then lie in a bed, if been out for a day etc We had been on a cruise prior to this hotel stay and our stateroom was so much better. I have stayed in better premier inns than this hotel.
They advertise a pool bar, it’s on the roof, by a very small swimming pool, the bar is very small, the other bar in reception is even smaller and I never saw it opened.
Breakfast is good, plenty of hot and cold choices. We ate there one evening but was very disappointed, only 4 persons in there, the staff did not speak English, I ordered a pizza, my wife ordered fish, they brought the pizza with two plates to share, told them it was for. About 20 mins later my wife’s food arrived. The pizza was not brilliant, base a bit soggy and I did leave some, not because it was a large pizza.
I know of a few other persons in the same group were disappointed with their rooms. Would I stay here again, I think it will be a NO.

The hotel is clean, the service is good. The beds are a little uncomfortable, regular mattresses and pillows, value for money is good. The Buffett breakfast is excellent, quite a variety of food. The location is good because it is two blocks from the beach and entertainment

Hi, day Trip50,
Your airport is about 23 kms from this hotel. To reach the city by bus from the airport, you can take one of Expresso Recreio's Frescão buses – lines 2145 and 2016 pass through the city. Another option is to take a BRT bus to the Vincente de Carvalho metro station from where you take the L2 metro into the city. I arrived at this hotel from santos dumont which is quite close to the city and a fifteen minute drive by taxi. A taxi drive to the hotel will take 30 minutes when I had to leave the city to this airport.
There are more places to choose from in the Rio de Janeiro area.
