This hotel is directly across the road from Copacabana beach and to take advantage of the view we booked a front facing room . Hotel has old world charm which I liked . The bedroom was a good size with comfortable beds . Bathroom could have done with a bit of TLC but was large and clean with hot water...

This beautiful hotel is located in the middle of Avenida Atlantica, the world's most famous beachfront. The service is excellent, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the buffet breakfast is very good and abundant with great food to choose.

I had a sea facing suite on the 12th floor- newly decorated, clean and pleasant. There was a nice balcony with views along Copacobana and a spacious seating area. In a good location, nice breakfast, especially at the weekend, and helpful, friendly staff.

Me and my husband booked this property through expedia.com. the property claims to be a 4 star but the rooms do not been provide complementary drinking water. The shower at times does not have hot water. For some medicine we wanted hot water, they refused... On asking for suggestions on tourist spots they promptly market very highly priced hotel taxis...

Below average hotel. If you are not particular about strong unpleasant carpet smell then this hotel is ok. Front office staff were just ok, breakfast was below average. The hotel lication is fantastic by the copacabana beach..basically, a hotel for budget-conscious travellers!!

I had a rare holiday in Rio de Janeiro and chose the hotel where my great-uncle stayed more than 40 years ago, both for its location and price. To my grateful surprise Olinda Rio was a very rewarding experience. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and central heating showers work very...

Good location, plenty to do in the area. Hotel is one of the older ones, but the staff is friendly. Decent complementary breakfast in the morning that's on par with the other hotels. They speak English fine so no problem for American travelers.

We had an ocean view room with a breath taking view on the Copacabana. The hotel is old and so was our room. The room itself was okay but the bathroom was old and falling apart. The airco was leaking so we had to put towels on the floor. The breakfast was okay. The staff very friendly.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
