I love the hotel and have stayed here several times, but they now seem to be determined to blast us all with loud music by the pool all day from 10am. In this age of headphones why is this necessary? We came here for a rest and a read by the pool yet this is now impossible. Can't we at...

We stayed 4 nights at start of February. Very classy, spacious and simply luxurious hotel. Nice big swimming pool (it never closes!) with excellent bar service to eat and drink. We took three of the hotel's offered tours and found them to be most enjoyable. The breakfasts were simply sumptuous - splendid array of juices, fruits , breads and more....

We have just returned from a 3 week tour of South America. In Rio we were unable to stay at the Hotel as fully booked, but decided to eat in the Cipriani Restaurant. We had a pasta starter, which was not large, but sufficient as a starter, however, when we received our main course of the Classic Veal, I just...

Traveled to Copacabana Palace in February 2017 with a large group. We were here 4 nights and then flew over to their sister hotel in Iguazu (see Cataratas review). First off, we were greeted by the bellman and he promptly tagged our luggage as our room wasn't quite ready. The group has a little area in the salons upstairs so...

Was here for the Olympic Games. Really the only place to stay in Rio. Right across from Copacabana beach. We were very impressed with the security at the hotel given the amount of people and worldwide attention the Olympics draw. This is a classic hotel with a lot of history. We stayed in the adjoining building which was a little...

Loving every moment of this place. Can't thank the team enough for a wonderful upgrade to a seafront suite. It is perhaps the most stunning room I have stayed in across the world. Old school glamour which is right up to date. Make sure you dine in all the hotel's excellent restaurants - Cipriani - Mee - and Pergula -...

This is a classic hotel located right across from the Copacabana beach. The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms were very large (we stayed in suites which were almost too big). Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
