I have been travelling Brazil solo now for 5 months and limetime is such a great hostel for like minded people. Management go above and beyond to make your trip memorable. They try and get everyone involved everynight in family dinners/ drinking games and there is always someone to show you the night life around rio, located only a 5... More

I stayed at LimeTime for only 4 days and I have never become so attached to a city or a hostel in such a short amount of time! ALL the staff went out of their way from the beginning to make me feel at home and included. They are all a group of young, vibrant and open minded travellers, who... More

Good location, good rooms (Air con is always a bonus), friendly staff, multiple languages spoken, good kitchen facilities and the meals they offered every evening were delicious and great value. The timer on the hot water for the showers would be my only complaint if I had to make one, but overall a great stay :)

Accommodations are also great, good Air Conditioning, personnel speak multiple languages and know Rio very - then there is Caipi Tuesday, open Caipirinha bar AND FREE Caipirinha's EVERY night from 9pm - 9:15pm when, by the way, Wifi is turned off for 1 hour (9-10pm) for 'social hour'.. I've been in Brazil for 10 months and - so far -... More

Great price, friendly and helpful staff, quite tidy and clean. Simple bar with cold beers and drinks, and free caipirinha every night for a little while. Awesome location, close to subway station, bus station, great view from Botafogo beach, and park in front of the sea.

The breakfast is simples, for who I know that enjoy more, but the hostel stays in a very good localization. Near from subway, local commerce, a calm Street, at night. I can use again, comebacking RJ. :)

This hostel is an experience, the staff are great and the 15 minute capirinha thing can get a little crazy. It isn't the cleanest, not the prettiest and the beds are dreadfully uncomfortable, especially the upper ones, but no one goes there to rest... Wifi is poor in the rooms, but one should be outside enjoying anyway, so I didn't... More

I ve passed a good moment in limetime. Good people, good caipirinhas and there s a common kitchen. But i have 2 negatives points..: -the conditioned air is on only during the night.. if you want to make a rest in summer, it s impossible because it s to hot. And during the night, opened windows are enough, because the... More

Staying in Botafogo

Neighborhood Profile
Botafogo
In recent years, Botafogo has become one of the hottest neighbourhoods in Rio. It hosts many modern restaurants with contemporary food and many venues to listen to rock and electronic music. Its numerous bars and pubs make this area a great choice for anyone interested in a great nightlife experience - in fact, some bars in the area are open all night. Casa Daros, an art museum that showcases amazing artists from Latin America, is a must see located in a historical building in Botafogo.
