Neighborhood
Ipanema
Ipanema is considered Rio's crown jewel. It offers the best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is inspiration for the legendary song, “The Girl from Ipanema.” Ipanema is an upscale area, home to many high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue. The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing many art galleries that show contemporary art. There is also a great variety of nightlife in the neighbourhood, which buzzes with many options for every taste.

Lots of space in every room. Everywhere is clean. The location is great also, in Ipanema which is way better than Copacabana in my opinion. Priced a little higher than Copacabana, but trust me it is worth the extra money.

We stayed there for 2 nights only because the lovely mango tree hostel and the whole of rio was booked out due to national holidays. Our room was very simple with weird green windows, which we didn't care about actually. The bathrooms are a big...More

We booked 2 nights here as a last resort as all other hostels in the area were full, what a mistake. The place is filthy and the beds were crawling with bed bugs, my friend was bitten dozens of times and took pictures of the...More
