The stay was very good. Adão the Restaurant Manager made the whole difference. His big smile and tips on what to do around Santa Teresa helped me and my partner a lot! He is what hospitality needs nowadays! The hotel is so beautiful and the location is great, right in the heart of Santa Teresa. The only problem is that they don’t have enough PowerPoints in the room to charge the devices and we can’t control the room temperature so the afternoon sun heated the room the whole day and at night even tho I asked 3 times to drop the room temperature it was still 23.5 degrees and there’s nothing I could do about it. Besides that it was a great experience. The sunset from the pool bar is breathtaking. Great place to relax by the pool. I would comeback.
A fabulous refuge with super helpful staff, great landscape, and amazing restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. There is a valet if you arrive with a vehicle. Every detail is attended to, evidenced by decor and cleanliness.
We enjoyed the Loft Suite for a few days. It’s an excellent room with plenty of space for the whole family. A nice terrace with views across Santa Teresa. The suite has a direct view of Corcovado also. We had an excellent excellent time. The hotel is stylish but still respectful to its history as a coffee plantation. The pool area is fantastic. The breakfast and dinner offerings are high quality. Special thank yous: Pedro in reception. Rafael in restaurant Tereze. Aroldo at the breakfast buffet. Gabriel at the pool bar. Thank you for an excellent stay.
Such a great experience at this hotel, as always! After a busy, colorful day in Lapa, we came to the pool lounge for cooling off. Luciano was the best waiter/ bartender I had in two weeks in Rio de Janeiro. Always present, smiling and making the best caipirinha in town! Parabéns for a great service!
We stayed here for our first time in Brazil for our honeymoon. Pros: -lovely, attentive staff that spoke good english -beautiful pool area -nice views -close to a few restaraunts/bars/pharmacy (5 min walk) -nespresso machine in the room -good food at the restaraunt with a nice atmosphere Cons: -the common areas are nice but the rooms feel very dated and not very homey -we had trouble getting ubers to bring us back to the hotel when it was raining because the hills are so steep -no hair dryer -nowhere to hang clothes, the room just had a cupboard to put things in -the restaraunt was very expensive for the area Personally, the price seemed a bit high for the accommodations. It has a very rustic feel that doesn't really come across in the pictures online. In the US it would be considered more of a 3 star hotel.…
The sevice is amazing, the best breakfast ever! Aroldo, the waiter is very gentle and kind! Thanks for the amazing experience! The rooms are great and the pool service from the bar is also very good! The best drinks and pool view in Rio de Janeiro!
I loved the rustic, not quite polished feel of this place-- the terrace doors were old and noisy, the bed big and creaky, everything gorgeous and old fashioned. Think RUSTIC and go from there. Slept like a baby and the staff was lovely. Two gripes: this place isnt just far from the city/beaches/stuff, its up a very windy (nervewracking) road, through a rather poor neighborhood. Tack on 10 minutes to get an uber to come get you, and then hold on tight as you make your way down to Rio. Just something to keep in mind- youre not going to hop in/out of this place on a whim. (to be fair, an Uber to town/beach is maybe $4) Second gripe is just breakfast was pretty lackluster. I ate toast with butter every morning, as the other options were desserts or deli meat. Seems like something they can/should fix, especially given how far you are from the nearest walkable cafe.…
The hotel is absolutely stunning and the rooms are superbly designed. The staff are all fantastic especially Aroldo at breakfast whos laugh is infectious. Amazing food and definitely a must visit for your stay even if you just drop in to dine!
Charming property in the historic neighborhood of Santa Teresa, overlooking Rio de Janeiro. Amazing service, great food. Great please to escape from the city for a few days, enjoy the pool and meet a different side of Rio de Janeiro.
This hotel experience was amazing. Clarissa and staff went above and beyond to assist my group of 3 and I. Beautiful hotels, excellent view and quiet . Perfect vacation spot to visit and enjoy a laid back stay. The service and food were amazing. My only regret was that I did not stay longer at this hotel.
