We chose Casa Francisco for it's location and uniqueness. We never ended up finalizing the booking as the owner cancelled. However, we got all the money back - not right away and not without back and forth, but we got it ALL back

This was an amazing place to spend our first week in Rio. Paula is warm, friendly but at the same time gave me and my friends enough space to just chill and do whatever we wanted It has amazing views, and everything in Casa Francisco is picturesque the area itself Santa Teresa has aa sort of bohemian, hippy area. For carnival, it was perfect street parties outside, yet when in Casa Franciso you can easily be away from the hustle and bustle of Rio. Would recommend!

A brilliant place to stay. The building is stunning (as is the Santa Teresa neighbourhood) - stylish, spacious and boasting an amazing roof terrace where we spent many an afternoon reading / evening relaxing. Paula felt more like a friend than a host, pointing us towards bars, parties and attractions we'd definitely have missed otherwise. The best place our group stayed on our trip by some distance.

Casa Francisco made my holiday to Rio. The hostel is beautiful and peaceful but in the best neighbourhood, there always seemed to be something going in the evenings that Paula could recommend. She took us out to street parties on a couple of evenings and I have never had so much fun. It was also great staying in and hanging out on the roof terrace, which has views as good as anywhere in the city. I had only planned to be there a couple of days but came back for another week and I very much hope I will be able to stay again in the future.

We were greeted by the welcoming Paula and her friendly dog Nina - amazing host with great local and authentic recommendations. Casa Francisco is a beautiful, homely getaway with panoramic terrace views over Rio. A fully functional kitchen, great sized bedrooms - all pristine and comfy. The Santa Teresa area is very chic, with lots of quirky shops. My 3 friends and I much preferred it to the Copacabana area. Would highly recommend going to Cafe do Alto for Brasillian cuisine and ask Paula for the nearest samba bars. Would 100% return (we extended our stay whilst in Rio). Thank you Paula for your great hospitality x
