We like absolutely EVERYTHING! The room is impeccable, as well as the cleaning and care of everyone. Bed and comfortable pillows, sheets and towels very smelly. Excellent shower. The breakfast is delicious, and they also offer an afternoon tea/coffee always with a delicious cake, often coming hot from the oven, a mim to the side! Great pool. They provide beach towel. The location is privileged as it is a few meters from the historic center. And the most precious thing for us was hospitality, from the attention before we arrived until we left. The hotel can be highly rated in all categories: Cleanliness - 10 - arriving at the beach in the afternoon and having a clean, fragrant room is priceless. Cordiality - 10 - we were well received and very well guided from the beginning to the end of our stay. We love the hotel the location is great the place beautiful, clean and very well cared for, cosy pool and very cozy living space. The breakfast is delicious and varied, now the afternoon coffee with that fresh cake is a hug for the guest who arrives exhausted from the tours. I highly recommend the hotel. A huge hug for Renan who welcomed us, welcomed us and gave us all the support needed to make our experience in Paraty sensational. The entire hotel staff is pleased with the excellent service. We are already missing the delicious cakes and also the quiche pie that we ate for breakfast. We will definitely be back ♥️

Lovely experience at this hotel! The setting is very charming and peaceful. The grounds are pleasant for relaxing. The staff is very helpful, answering all of our questions, making recommendations, and caring for us well. The room was large and comfortable (with good working AC, which was important to me), even big enough for in-room massages! If we were to return to Paraty, I'm sure we'd return to Carpe Diem.

We loved the 3 nights we stayed here and would have loved to stay longer! Would 100% recommend.
Cleanliness: This is the top priority for me when looking for somewhere to stay and Carpe Diem definitely ticked that box!
Location: This is perfectly situated just a few minutes walk outside of the main historical centre.
Breakfast: Great to have the omelette/tapioca option with a variety of fillings! There was always a good breakfast selection (fruit, bread, yoghurts, cereal) even when we arrived later one morning. The afternoon cakes each day were also delicious!
Personnel: Seamless check in. We felt welcomed and all staff were always friendly.
Negatives: No negatives apart from the ceiling is rather low when exiting down the steps and my boyfriend hit his head (hard!) one day. Perhaps they could advise us of this when checking in and make a “watch your head” sign more obvious.

The inn is very nice. Nice gardens. All tastefully decorated. The pieces are very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom with a shower with very good pressure. All the staff are very friendly and concerned that we have an excellent stay. Very varied and rich breakfast. Between 5 and 7 in the afternoon, they offered a delicious boat, with coffee and bowling made in the moment. We were recommended a boat tour with Rodrigo from Relax Paraty, 100% recommended. Since no more passengers arrived, it was a tour for us only (private). It was 6 hours of a nice walk along different islands and beaches. The area where the inn is located is very quiet. It is very close to the historic center, less than 500 m.

Breakfast was very complete and tasty. All the staff was very nice and assisted us with local information getting to the cachoeiras using public transport since we did not want to be out on an all day tour. Only issue we had was that the electricity kept going off and with no fans in the rooms we were worried that it would be way to hot to sleep, but all was resolved eventually. The location is very convenient and an easy walk to the old town with so many great restaurants and shops.
