We were here in june 2018, with the 5 of us and we all loved it. The beautiful surroundings, lovely pink cottage, very nice breakfast and wonderful lunch and dinners. We went hiking for 3 days with Gert , one of the owners, which was despite some rain also a most impressive, beautiful hike ! We would definitely come back to Vila Volta on a next journey to Brasil ! The beautiful town Paraty is only 20 minutes away.

I was there recently with a friend from California. Her words were "I have finally spent a weekend in Brazil". This is what she expected to see down here. Wellsprings, running water pools, the forest all around, birds of so many colors and sizes. A peaceful environment seasoned with Brazilian (and Dutch) warmth. And that amazing food! The freshly-baked bread every morning... A place that invites you to be back (and keep in the heart)

Room Tip: My favorite ones are those turned to the valley, but the ones that face the woods are even calmer...

we had a great time ever spending a week in Vila Volta in the company of mother nature in all its forms and sounds, and the fantastic hosts of this amazing place, Andre & Dus. The attention and the home feeling were always present, easy to come and go with a normal car to other near by beaches or Paraty downtown. The Breakfast, together with other meals were delicious and full of exotic touches, and all made with a lot of love. The rooms are gorgeous, and the all house, with nice spots to relax after the day in the natural swimming pool, is something to experience. Very strongly recommended!!

I spent very great moments with Dus and Andre at their paradisiac pousada. They are very good people, open-minded and interested in many subjects. They speak many different languages and helped me a lot improve my portuguese. The landscape and window's views are gorgeous, the atmosphere is very laidback and their food is absolutely delicious. I hope to see them again someday, somewhere in the world.

This is a rare kind of hotel, one where the two owners genuinely care about your stay and every little aspect of their hotel, they will treat you like family and always ensure your stay is perfect. They cook amazing meals with a focus on quality ingredients, it was so good to eat a home style meal for a change. And I recommend asking about the treks they can take you on, I did one and visited an beautiful isolated beach village as well as waterfalls and deserted beaches. Staying in the rainforest at this special hotel is an experience not to be missed.
