This was an absolute gem. We loved our stay here and will definitely return when we are in the area again. The log cabin details and construction is amazing. The cabin was cozy and clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good and convenient. The sunset and sunrise views were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Everything about our stay was very comfortable except for the very bright lights shining in both windows of our cabin. It made it very hard to sleep, and sleeping was the primary reason we were staying there! We ended up bringing the curtains from our camper van inside and trying to clip them up over the windows. That helped, but it was still hard to fall asleep. I suggested to management that they dim the lights, so hopefully they will make that change in the future. Very nice bathroom, double sink, bedding, fireplace, very clean. Nice that they have a large mini-fridge in the room. Breakfast looked pretty standard for a Holiday Inn type hotel. We prefer healthy food so we brought our own.

This place has everything for a weekend get away. Soft beds, large tub, and a great cabin experience. Food is not that far away, and there is plenty to do in the valley. Great views out your window and friendly staff.

This property sits in the heart of Star Valley south of Jackson Wyoming. The property seems to be a work in progress with construction still ongoing around the property. The cabins sit mostly individually and are all log cabin construction literally full size hand trimed and fitted Lodge Pole Pines. The quality of the construction is absolutely amazing and the interior furniture is equally beautiful obvious made by the same artisans that constructed the cabins. Almost every amenity is available in the cabin, good wifi, with electronic controls for the TV, Fans, AC, lights etc. Big tub and separate shower/toilet area. Great linens and comfortable bed. Lots of time and thought went into this property, Afton is a small town, but the area offers, fishing, hunting, winter sports and upon the completion of the Lodge the property will come together. There is a hot tub on the grounds and facilities for kids to play. The surrounding mountains are beautiful and the chairs or benches on the front porch of the cabins are perfect for reading or just relaxing. · Just word of warning, if you're staying on a Sunday, finding a restaurant other than Burger King or Pizza Hut is impossible as everything either closes on Sunday or closes early including the next town north so be prepared. Ate my first Burger King in 30 years LOL.

Traveling from Salt Lake to Yellowstone? Do yourself a big favor and break up the drive with a stay in Afton in a cabin. All the amenities you will need, at base of Kodiak mountain. You will have a great stay!!! The family cabin #8 was perfect for us. The kids play area and weekend fire pit are also pluses. The hot tub was a great way to relax too! You won’t be disappointed.
