My friend and I went zip lining and white water rafting. The staff could not have been nicer. They were professional, encouraging and fun! I felt very safe and in good hands. I highly recommend Wildman Adventure Resort.

We rented the Chalet in their Peshtigo outpost for a group of 8: 7 adults and 1 teenager. We had 3 sedan cars and 1 Tacoma. All cars were able to fit next to the deluxe cabin. We entered thru the door closest to where we parked. Literally walking in, you'll find yourself in one of the bedrooms (1 bunk bed, 1 twin, 1 full). Continuing on, you'd find yourself on the second floor where there are 2 other entrance doors leading to the wrap-around deck outside, 1 full bath, and 2 other bedrooms (each with king-sized beds). Going downstairs, there's the living room, kitchen, 1 full bath, and 2 bedrooms (each with king-sized beds). The main entrance is also on the 1st floor, and there's a sliding door leading to the lower deck, with charcoal grill and a fire pit on the side. The river is literally in your backyard but not accessible unless you feel extra adventurous and slide down the steep cliff. The kitchen has an electric stove, a microwave, full fridge, and a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. Plenty of plates, utensils, glasses, mugs, pots, and pans. Note that there's no dishwasher. We didn't mind doing the dishes, but drying them on the little dish rack wasn't always ideal. During days packed with activities, we brought paper plates and disposable utensils coz we were too tired to cook and wash dishes. There were heaters and fans in the cabin as well, although the cabin has central air and heat. Our first 2 evenings, it was cold in the evenings and hot upstairs. I'd suggest bringing more than a flimsy blanket (as we have learned firsthand). Wifi is spotty most times -- but it is in the middle of nowhere. It also made for a great unplugged experience. TV works fine though. Overall, just the Chalet, I'd give an A. Sometimes, I wished they had a hammock in the back and a dishwasher, but that's just me nitpicking now. Our group did the zipline, Menominee rafting, and morning paintball -- all in their Menominee outpost. Yes, it was an hour a way. Interestingly, the drive wasn't bad at all. There was no traffic -- barely any cars out. We saw wild turkeys, deer, an eagle scavenging a dead deer... was hopeful we'd see a bear (unfortunately we didn't). So, don't let the hour drive discourage you from booking a cabin in the Peshtigo outpost and booking activities in the Menominee area. The activities are fun. Period. We enjoyed the rafting so much, we booked another trip on what should have been our rest day. So we were able to do the rafting in the morning and again during sunset another day. I'd say there were less people during the sunset trip, and the sun wasn't beaming down on you. Very pretty to see the sunset too. Either way, you'd be in for ride! Guides are awesome -- Big Mike is great! We did the guided kayak tour in the Peshtigo lake. I don't work out, but my arms were able to handle the hours of kayaking. I swear you won't paddle the whole time. Enjoy the scenery, the water, the lilies, and everything else. It was definitely a calm contrast to rafting. We were there for a week. We had a week's worth of memories, and we definitely will consider going back again. P.S. Try to have lunch at Waubee Lake Lodge if you can (20 mins from the Peshtigo outpost). You will not regret.

We rented the CUB cabin for 3 nights. two adults, one 16 year old. He loved sleeping in the loft. The bed was not that comfortable, kind of hard. There is a full kitchen with utensils, coffee maker and microwave. There was our own firepit & picnic table. We brought bag chairs, food, drinks, towels, bedding, flashlight, citronella candle, OFF and an axe. We cut down two dead trees (very small) We did purchase firewood at a gas station. There is a grill, but it's rusty inside. We did the white water raft on the Menominee river. Super fun. I believe you need to be 15 to go down the Piers Gorge Rapids. We also did the ziplining. There is nothing much to do there, other than the activities provided. I would recommend this place for an adventurous family or couple.

My family had such a fantastic time rafting down the Menominee River with Hoot as our guide. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and amusing! My sons who are 10 & 9 and love adventure, he provided us with a smooth sail down the river while guiding us through plenty of thrilling rapids!! His personality fits perfectly for a river guide!! The trip took a little over 2 hours on the water, though it was pretty action packed the entire time. We will definitely return in the future!!

My friend and I wanted to get away for a couple of days, so we came here for a white water rafting trip down the Peshtigo River and stayed overnight in one of their cozy cabins. The temperature was around 50-60F when we arrived, and we were given wet suits at the site, which kept us reasonably warm through the rating trip. The water is warmer, due to the iron content of the water (which we learned during the trip), which wasn't bad. We had only done class I/II rapids before, but the higher class rapids were certainly doable and very fun! Our guide was awesome. The cabin was also quite cozy and came with a heater. We brought our own sleeping bags and were reasonably warm overnight. I would recommend bringing some bug repellant, which we forgot, as we got stung by mosquitoes quite a few times between the two of us. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to escape into nature and have a good time!

Thanks for coming to visit and experiencing the river. We're glad you stayed warm and had a good time while rafting. Those pesky mosquitos are always trying to ruin a good experience! We'll see you back next time (with bug repellant)!
