Perfect place if you like to hang out some days in Belem.
I paid 20 US$ including breakfast, can't beat that.
The breakfast terrace got great view on the river and Ver o Peso market.
And the Docas with home made beer are just 5 minutes away.

Belem is the perfect 24 hour destination, enter or exit the amazon from here and that's it.
The Ver-o-peso Hotel is across the chaotic street of the famous market by the same name,
the rooms are adequate, have wifi (not macbook friendly) and decent breakfast included for
a reasonable price, as far as Brazil goes, i.e. double of similar quality anywhere
else in Latin America. The staff was very helpful but spoke no English. Belem harbor and historic center is not safe after dark, there is a new "mall" with restaurants 200 yards from the hotel, safe and made for silly tourists, but good for a snack and a sit around in micro brewery, food was BAD and very expensive.
