This landmark hotel designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the famous Brazilian architect, had been on my bucket list for more than half a century. On learning that I would be staying there for a special event, I was more than excited. Our arrival was dampened by the news that the building has no elevator. Nor was there anyone to help us...

I stayed first in a room on the back side of this hotel and the second time I stayed in a very nicer room facing the city of Ouro Preto, having a wonderful view from the balcony , I would recommend to choose this apartment, it is a duplex one . Breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly...

Good hotel located in the center of town. It's just a short walk to all the historic sites in Ouro Preto. The hotel has nice views of the town's steep hills and churches. The hotel itself is just basic. The rooms are fine, a little dated. Mine didn't have air conditioning, which was fine temperature-wise, but the rooms are pretty...

Perfect location in the middle of the town, free parking. Rooms are clean, furniture a bit outdated, great view from the balcony. The penthouse-style-suites are large and worth the additional money. Very friendly, helpful staff.

A striking building from the 1940s by Oscar Niemeyer with some good period furniture and effects. The staff are really helpful and very pleasant; it was a great joy to have all our luggage carried up to our room (it is a hilly location!). Good parking and an excellent central location with a number of good restaurants nearby. The hotel,...

Nice, simple hotel, centrally located. Rooms are simple and comfortable. Staff don't speak much English but are friendly and try to assist. It has parking and it's easier to find than some posadas if you're driving. They have a small pool which would be good for summer. Breakfast was a basic buffet. This hotel is over priced but convenient.

The place is good, but for the price you pay you can find better places in one of the pousadas...The breakfast is very good and also the view is attractive. Rooms are medium but clean and confortable. No issues with the staff as well.

This hotel is well positioned but it is in serious need of an upgrade. As a building it is fantastic (classically Niemeyer) but seriously let down by its poor maintenance despite its friendly staff. We walked out after a day.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with a small group of students from the US. One of the favorite stops of the trip was our visit to Ouro Preto. This hotel added to the experience because of it's charm and character. The architecture is very unique and takes full advantage of its location with views of the...

I am currently staying here, on business, and I am so excited to check out in the morning. I cannot and will not fall asleep because I am afraid what may come crawling out. I am not sure where people are getting these photos from, but they DO NOT reflect this hotel. I noticed the site, or some users, highlight...
