This place is very attractive. It preserves the building historic characteristics and is still very comfortable. The breakfast is very good and there are also afternoon tea and snacks for grabs. The location is convenient. It is close to the main attractions and there are many good restaurants nearby.

The hotel is housed in a refurbished colonial building downtown Ouro Preto, a short walk from the main attractions, on a relatively busy street. Rooms are austere, with simple decoration, wooden floors (noisy for the room below) and basic amenities. Only upper floor rooms have partial views of the city. Friendly staff. Slow free internet connection and tasty breakfast included...

This hotel is in an old house that has been completely renovated. It still has all the charms of a historic house (doors, wooden floorboards, stone seats by the windows, some painted furniture, and even huge iron keys!), but all modern amenities have been nicely included (A/C, TV, bathroom, and an elevator!). Only a few rooms have a view (on...

We loved the informality here and especially the breakfast in the attached coffee shop. Upon arrival,we were met at the front door and then I drove the member of staff round the back to the car park where I negotiated the fairly narrow entrance with success! Safe on site parking is a bonus though. We were allocated a room at...

If you want quality low/mid-budget accommodation ignore all the touts and come straight here. We wanted a 'pousada' and were lead all around the city looking at places by a 'tout' and for 50Reals more than was the cost of really BASIC accommodation without bathroom etc. we had a charming 'en-suite' in this hotel right on the main tourist drag....

I spent 4 nights at this hotel. I really liked my room and the staff. The hotel is very charming, clean and well kept. Geraldo, the morning desk manager, is so friendly. He and Leandro (bellhop) were always nice, helpful and patient. The only reason why I don´t give it 5 stars is because it is noisy at night. This...

Location of this Pousada is perfect, right in the middle of the old downtown. You are 10-15 mn walk away from most of the places to visit in Ouro Preto if you stay at this Pousada. Having parking space availability is a bliss for people travelling by car, because parking spots are not easy to find in that neighbourhood. The...

This small hotel is nicely located in the centre of old town of Ouro Preto. Rooms are nice and clean and especially bathrooms offer some luxury. The restaurant/bar provided good and friendly service. Good breakfast (typical for Minas Gerais) with fresh fruits etc. There were some noice early in the evening from the main street but it was quiet alredy...

The Solar da Opera is a fairly modest hotel of 11 rooms, on the main street of Ouro Preto and within a few blocks of the most important Baroque churches in this center of the Brazilian Baroque. The rooms are serviceable, if not elegant, and the common areas are comfortable; a restaurant next door connects to the lobby of the...
