We paid for an all-inclusive one night midweek stay in this hotel. It has an impressive frontage and lots of parking. The building itself is gorgeous with high ceilings and massively long corridors and big ballrooms. Almost a little creepy (had visions of 'The Shining'). The 1930s decor was very cool and the 'spa' part of the hotel was all... More

Old Brazilian resort vacation stay, complete spa and relaxing infrastructure, rooms in antique furniture, very good meals with local recipes, improvements are details in room cleaning, Wi-Fi was weak by several times and gym has some equipment broken and without lubricant maintenance.

The hotel is grand. It works in an all inclusive buffet way so it is great for kids. There is also a special baby kitchen. Staff is very friendly and there are teams to play with kids and a designated place in the basement for games (unfortunatelly it smells of mold). The rooms are simple but very confortable and spacious.... More

The hotel architecture is quite grand, however, it is extremely run down. The decor, floors, light and bathroom fixtures, and furniture are all in bad need of renovation! The food was good, but I really dislike buffet style dinners, served in a loud brightly lit cafeteria style room! Unacceptable for a hotel of this price a category. The best part... More

Just stayed one night on this all-inclusive hotel (yes, 4 meals are served, buffet style). The dinner was served on time, but I noticed the kitchen seemed to have struggled to keep up with standards. There were options for the salads, main course and so on, but most of it was overcooked or lacking flavor. It was awkward to have... More

We have only stayed at the Taua Grande Hotel in Araxa once, but we will never forget it. The staff was wonderful and very Minas Gerais friendly. (Think Wisconsin friendly in the best sense.) The rooms are only OK (by US standards) and one has to enjoy buffet meals in a very large dining room. But we loved the people... More

This is one of the biggest hotels I have ever stayed in! It is massive. However the greeting you get from the staff and restaurant is just as big and friendly. The hotel is set in large grounds backing onto a lake and surrounded by trees. There are many good walks (or in my case runs) within the grounds to... More

Went to Araxa for a conference and stayed at Taua granfe Hotel. It is a lovely property with nice swimming pool and an amazing spa. The room was spacious, but we got one overlooking the parking lot. Try to get a lake view. I did not like the toilet area for many reason. Shower floor was slick, with no hold... More

I loved it all. Me and my family. Good food and service. Great for kids, the recreation service is amazing. The Termas service is very relaxing, the price is fair and you can enjoy it all day long. The city is beautiful and deserve a visit.

Simple: I will go there again! My family loves that place. My daughter (seven years old) was very sad at the time to go and said me: "Dad make a reservation for our turn!" We had great times there... Much joy and affection all the time!
