We did a 3D/2N Pantanal tour with Ecological Expeditions, staying at the Arara Azul hostel. This is a budget option for the Pantanal and overall we enjoyed the trip. We stayed in a four bed shared room. Our room had hot water in the shower but other rooms did not. No one told us if there was WiFi or not... More

Stayed in a private double room. Really basic room with bed and bathroom. Bad english speaking people but the really try to understand you. The organsation behind it is really good. Had a wonderful trip to the Pantanal with lots of animals, there is a good vice there! Food is really good of the arara azul lodge!

The hostel is basic: basic room, basic bed, basic shower, basic breakfast... 80 Rs for a private room is acceptable. The WiFi is good! The hostel staff does NOT speak English. You can communicate in English via the owners of Ecological expeditions (Pantanal trekking) Amarildo or Rodrigo. This hostel is fine if you stay one night on your way to... More

I booked a 3nights/4days Pantanal Tour and I really liked it!! I stayed with two other travelers in a very clean dorm with private bathroom, the food was great and our guide very friendly and helpful! I enjoyed the activities like the boat trip, hiking and horse riding a lot and found the price very fair!! I would always book... More

Before booking trip to Pantanal we were a bit confused, because we read some bad reviews on ecological expeditions company. Despite this, we decided to book with them and we were very happy about that! Everything was very good organised: the guy from company took us from airport to hostel; as we arrived very late, the owner of company (Amarildo)... More

Enjoyed our stay at this hostel. Nice location and Douglas has all the information you will need to book your excursions. There are several cats at the property that are SUPER friendly. I would suggest this hostel to anyone heading to Bonito.

The survival tour is expensive but worth every single penny! This place is simple, rustic with delicious fresh food and very experienced guides; most whom have been there for over 20 years and amazing wildlife. Over all the organization pre trip was super & clear! We spoke with Amarildo two times over whatsapp, he was so helpful, knowledgeable & kind.... More

Ok for an overnight stay, but very basic and noisy as no sound proofing between rooms. Bed was comfy, breakfast basic. Stayed overnight as part of a Pantanal tour which was very poor, would not recommend, no English speaking guides and tour not as promised.

This tour of the Pantanal was amazing, we did the 4 day 3 night tour! Our guide was Nicolai, he has lived in the Pantanal his whole life and new exactly where to look to find wildlife. We saw howler monkeys, toucans, capybara, agouti, piranha, jabiru, lots of different lizards, emu, blue macaws, wild boar, and what seemed like hundred... More
