We stayed 2 nights at Pouso Alegre at the beginning of our Pantanal Trip. Our room was very basic. The bathroom really needed updating so I think we must have been in one of the older rooms. One wall of the shower was about to fall down and the stains in the toilet bowl and sink were pretty disgusting. The...

I liked my stay in Pouso Alegre very much. I spent 3 nights there. The room was basic, but all needed was there (except a hair dryer, but I had mine), more, actually, than I expected in a lodge inside the wetlands: air conditioner, a lamp with a fan on the ceiling, lots of space for the luggage. Wifi worked...

The title pretty much sums up our two nights. First, what could improve...The rooms are VERY basic. Our Room was #1. It had 3 twin beds but only two very flat pillows. The beds were very hard as well. The sink and toilet had water stains. That's it...those are my only complaints and they were very minor. But, everything functioned...

This place was a nice surprise, super friendly owner, obviously loves his job and if helpful and loves to chat w/the guests, great food, amazing birding, comfortable bed and clean room. We would return here if we come back to the Pantanal!

I stayed here as part of a custom tour with my guide Fisher Sousa. This is an amazing lodge for wildlife & birds in particular. But it is also great for animals that live in the savannah plains & are not susceptible to jaguar attacks - animals such as the Tapir & Giant Anteater. The do horse-riding here to explore...

We were returning from 6 nights in the Pantanal and spent our last evening here. Luis was wonderful and gave us lots of great information. We rode horse - two and a half hours. Great value. We were the only guests and the place is a little run down. Spotlessly clean inside, but horse droppings everywhere outside. New linens and...

We stayed four nights at this fazenda as part of a two week, self-organised trip to the Pantanal; we enjoyed seeing the great variety of wildlife. We did not have a guide but the owner, Luiz, is very helpful and knowledgeable. We rode out on horses each day, which allowed us to see the different habitats, including some flooded areas....

We stayed here during a 2 day extension from a jaguar trip. The staff is friendly and food is good. Buffet style. Rooms are clean but basic. Lots of space for storage and air conditioning was welcome in middle of the day. There are many unique birds on the ground and the owner, Luis, is a good birder. We took...

About the Lodge this place has it all in terms of wildlife except the Jaguar they are there but very elusive I saw none (you need to go to...

After spending two days in Pousada Rio Clarinho (as part of our 4 day, 4 night Ecoverde organized Pantanal tour) our next stop was at Pousada Allegre. As we entered the Pousada gates we saw huge emus, Jabiru storks and maybe a thousand capybaras in the surrounding lakes. This place is also a habitat for Hyacinth Macaws, with a couple...
